Quel magnifique programme ! La musique de Prokoviev, la chorégraphie de S. Ruchpaul, les superbes costumes, l'interprétation intense et passionnée de G/P en font l'un des plus beaux de l'histoire de la danse sur glace. Et si magnifiquement patiné ...

Absolutely love this couple and their ice dance routines but it's so infuriating to see some of their scores that they got in some competitions. They honestly received outrageous disgraceful low marks from some of the Judges whereas some other teams would be getting generous high marks even with mistakes and fall. This team should have won atleast 3 Worlds instead of 1 if they were judged honestly. I'm glad they got their Gold in 2002 Olympics and even then it was ridiculously close!

Yes. I had them first at the Worlds in 1998, 1999, and 2001 (in addition to 2000). I also had them in at least second place at the 1996 and 1997 Worlds. Possibly even first in 1996 since that was the year that G&P had their worst free dance ever. What I'm curious to see is how A&P did in their silver samba CD that year. I remember seeing it ages ago and placing them fourth. But memory can be very faulty and so if they actually should have finished third or higher, then winning the free dance would've won them gold.

Как она не влюбилась в Гвендаля. Он очень красивый, хорошо сложен. Нет, выбрала Джигурду, очень жаль.

I could just watch this over and over. Today's ice dancers don't have a clue....nothing, no one comes close.

No they did not. This dance was not only more difficult, but there was so much more of a connection to each other and the music. Bourne/Kraatz's FD was full of side-by-side dancing, a lot of pauses and stops, and easy hand-holds in comparison. Even if you think Bourne/Kraatz should have placed higher than Anissina/Peizerat in the FD, the truth is that Bourne/Kraatz should have placed much lower in the OD where they had the easiest ODs in the top seven.

just superb. they should've challenged for the gold, if the judges had allowed it, instead of being compared to bourne/kraatz, who were one rung of the ladder below the first two teams in the competition

It's an ice dance competition, but the judges don't understand art, (or didn't dare to understand) and are just interested in the technical.

Honestly i think i would have put them in first place.technicly nos as difficult as krylova ovsiannikov but artisticly very much more romantic. To me 5.7 and 5.9 for the french. 5.8 and 5.8 for the russians. 5.5 and 5.8 for the canadians. The american judge was just ridiculous as always...

This free dance had much more content than K&O's. K&O's free dance was far too open in the handholds. Yes, it was skated with a good amount aggressive sharpness. But in terms of difficulty, it falls well below this free dance.

@@gk891 This free dance had both amazing artistry and wonderful difficulty. They deserved gold at both the Olympics and worlds that year I think.
@gk8912 жыл бұрын
@@grantgoffin4774 I agree that this free dance had both amazing artistry and wonderful difficulty. But they skated a tight and nervous free dance in Nagano. It's debatable for me if they even should've placed second in the free dance there. It was by far their worst free dance performance of the entire season. I had Grishuk & Platov far ahead in first with Anissina & Pezierat in second and Punsulan & Swallow in third. However, I had A&P in a very clear first at Worlds.

You know nothing about ice dance. B&K skated both their OD and FD completely side by side or hand to hand. They shouldn't have even medalled at this competition.
