xt60 isn’t necessarily a solar panel connector. xt connectors are also popular in rc hobbies. the 60 refers to its rating up to 60 amp peak and commonly uses 12 awg wire. that type of connector is simple enough to meet the requirements of many solar panels. in hobbies like drone flying they can easily be soldered and troubleshooted. the connectors are simple enough to use in a variety of things that don’t require a lot of complexity, just a higher amperage and two wires, power and ground.

Great video. All I will add is that of course there is a processor in there. Can't do anything wireless without one, and that does not even take into account the processing necessary to update that smart display based on power load and charge, and update the onboard software (firmware) in the field.

That cable's perfect when you're using your 300 when you're charging your 300 at fast charging and you use that short little cable to connect to that you can charge both perfectly you don't need 20 yards of cable so that cable is very useful

Swap the stray USB C port with a 5521 barrel port and we have a far more capable/complete DC charging station.

My unit will not charge at all. I plugged it in to an Anker adapter, plugged it into the wall and won't charge at all. I even used different plugs but nope. Nothing. The charge was at 27 % out of the box and it won't charge any further. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Thorough overview though.

I have 2 dc units and an ac unit, not problem with any. It sounds like you might have got a lemon unfortunately.
