Hello I just bought 767. When I use inverter sockets and plug in a phone adapter, it does not show the power output. I think the output is too small and it does not show watts. I could not view it on the screen in the application Can you view the power output of devices that draw small power when you plug them into the socket?

I've asked Anker if they would consider making a 20' version of the XT60 1 to 5 cable to make it easier to get all of the panels wired the powerhouse.

Great video/product, re efficiency and battery capacity etc one needs to first confirm the depth of discharge, for example a 1000AH battery may only discharge to 15% left for better longevity, if this was the case really they should call it a 850AH battery but they never do and don't normally provide depth of discharge data. So testing without this data can potentially reduce apparent efficiency of inverter. Only way for 100% accuracy is measure DC Power W and AC Power W (considering AC power factor) Then % efficiency = DC P (W) / AC P (W) x 100. You are right to test at different loads as it does vary with loading, batteries/inverter should be at normal room temp with your heaters far away from system air intakes.

Nice review! When you performed the double heater discharge test the internal fans on the 767 sounded like they were running at full speed. When you then did the single heater test did the fans kick in? Is it possible the fans ate up the efficiency on the double heater test?
@CampingSecretsUK
@CampingSecretsUK Жыл бұрын
Hi James - I think you have a point there. It was much quieter on the single heater test and that would definitely have a bearing on the efficiency. I should have realized that! You should join the Camping Secrets team with great comments like that! 😀

plug in your wifi router only, plug the anker into the AC and tell me if it doesn't shut off while still plugged into power within 10 hours. This is the latest issue, Before this last app update, you could not run anything in UPS for any items that draws less than the inverter draws and that alone is around 32 watts! Seriously, while you can, send it back and get a jackery. I ended up replacing my anker with a no name brand called FF power from amazon and for $997 and 20 pounds lighter, I was amazed. Customer email anker support dragged my case out so long they are no longer willing to give me a refund. Hope you do better but I would send it back

Really good review , hit all the main points. I work on the road and wanted to fit an invertor in my van but it will void my warranty , wondering could you test or estimate how long it would it take to charge from your vehicle DC lighter output. Cheers Mate 👍
@CampingSecretsUK
@CampingSecretsUK Жыл бұрын
Cheers bud. You're limited to 12v and 10amps when charging by the cigarette lighter which is 120w. That would be about 17 hours to completely charge from 0% to 100%. Alternatively you could charge to 100% on mains at home and then keep topped up in the van. As long as you don't use much more than 120W, it would never discharge, especially if you add some solar!

a quick question. Can the 767 Anker be connected to a Generator outlet in other to power an entire House like the Ecoflow Pro??
@CampingSecretsUK

Hi Samuel - the Anker just has standard AC and DC inputs. I don't think it's designed to be wired into the house or generator as described, but of course you can charge it up via a generator

@CampingSecretsUK
@CampingSecretsUK Жыл бұрын
Hi Adamska, a typical 32 inch lcd tv is about 50W, so with 1750 Wh (useable), you'd get about 1750/50= 35 hours of use from 100% to 0%. Not bad!

You tested the battery at a high discharge rate (over 1C), which is not the best way to get the most capacity out of it. That really strains the battery with lots of thermal losses. You should test at about 0.2C which is around 400 watts continuous. That is around what most battery manufacturers use to gauge capacity. If you are planning to drain the unit in less than an hour on a normal basis, arguably you should be using a bigger unit or more expansion batteries because what good is an hour in a power outage or camping type situation.
@CampingSecretsUK
@CampingSecretsUK Жыл бұрын
Hi Ryen - you raise a very good point which I addressed on my next video (Bluetti AC500S), where I tested efficiency at two different discharge rates. It is clear that there are alot of provisos with lithium cells in terms of performance vs discharge rate vs temperature vs fan load etc, so there is not one test which covers everything. Cheers for the cogent comment. Marc

The Anker 767 is not a "PowerHouse". According to the Anker own website, this unit only provides a mere 1.5X (150%) surge capacity rating which is not enough for powering many high inductance loads like power tools, microwaves, small AC units like in an RV and refrigerators which can demand anywhere from a 3X (300%) to 8X (800%) surge to even start these types of loads. You may be able to start and run some of these loads for a limited amount of time when the high frequency inverter in this Anker unit is new, but over time, typically after less than a year, after repeatedly powering inductive loads, the MOSFETs in this high frequency inverter will fail. That's why the big name brand inverter manufacturers like Schneider Electric, Outback Power, Magnum Energy, Victron and others, all use a low frequency topology in their designs. Another consideration is that the vast majority of these solar generators are non-repairable. At a typical shop rate of $125 per hour U.S., with no schematic and limited parts availability, it makes no economic sense to even attempt to repair one of these units. Once the FETs have fried and have taken the inverter's PCB with it, (And trust me, sooner rather than later, they will fry.) they basically become a brick. A much better choice is to spend a little more money and buy or build a power station that uses a hybrid, low frequency, transformer based inverter charger instead. It will last far, far longer and you will be able to power high inductive loads that you're going to need to power, during a power outage.
