I wouldnt focus to much on what she has more then how she stays true to her self and her commitments, these are the excellent ways in which she navigates her world and accomplishes her dreams. I agree though with your holy shit mentality it would be so awesome to get to that point in one dreams, a surreal experience for sure. :)

Currently binging your videos (not necessarily in succession) and I have two thoughts: the first, I’m not in the medical field or have plans to pursue it but your videos and work ethic is super fun and motivating to watch. My second, is that I can tell that you’re giving some very valuable perspective by having this channel. Medical students obv but even those who are in similarly rigorous programs. I watched an earlier vid about how you really didn’t have much esteem for your academics in younger years and I can definitely relate. I didn’t try for anything bc I didn’t think I could achieve anything and I’m only just now starting the process of doing something. I like the perspective you give and can’t wait for all the rest of your vids. Much love from VA!

Can anyone give me a comparison on using this compared to using quizlet? I definitely see that this has a lot more functions than quizlet, but it also seems a lot less user friendly. If anyone has any insights, let me know!!
@alyssavictoria76455 жыл бұрын
I think both are good for different reasons. I use Quizlet for easier classes and when I just need to memorize terms without putting too much thought into them (for my non-nursing classes lol). Quizlet is nice because it will autofill terms for you if it has a record of it which can save you time. For my nursing classes, I use Anki because I love the way it tests you by having terms reappear at later dates as she explained here, and there is way more you can do in terms of editing your cards. Quizlet interface is def prettier to look at and way more user-friendly for beginners, but once you start playing around with Anki and getting the hang of it, its a game-changer. Anki also has add-ons which are a huge bonus. You can even import your Quizlet terms into there if you want.

Don't understand something. If I got it right, do I pick the red (again) option or green (good) option or the blue (easy) option
@hcm99992 жыл бұрын
The biggest problem is why use flashcards in the first place. I have never used flashcards. I don't understand them. I don't know why anyone would want to use them. First, it takes a long time to write them. Second, it may take a long time to read them and get the answers correctly. Third, they look boring, tiring, tedious and time-consuming. Why not just read a book? In the same time you create and read flashcards you could just read a book. Or, if you are studying something like Physics or Mathematics, you should just solve a bunch of exercises from a textbook. Most textbooks have plenty of exercises for you to practice. All you have to do is solve them. The book author already prepared all the exercises for you, you don't need to write them, unlike flashcards. If you are learning a foreign language you should read as much as possible. Reading is the best way to acquire vocabulary. You consult the dictionary for the words necessary to understand the text. Reading is much more fun, entertaining and engaging than using flashcards. By reading you always see the word in context. Flashcards on the other hand take the words out of context. It is much harder to memorize and understand them. Flashcards are completely inefficient compared to just reading.

For reactions, put your starting molecule on the left, reagents on the arrow that is pointing to the product molecule, and the product molecule to the right of the arrow. That's your answer on 3 cards. For each card, the question is a question mark in place of the starting molecule but showing the reagents on the arrow as well as the product molecule or molecules, another card is a question mark in place of the reagents on the arrow but showing the starting molecule and the product molecule(s), and the third card is a question mark in place of the product molecule but showing the starting molecule structure and the reagents on the arrow. Draw your answers on a small whiteboard with dry erase markers, compare to the actual answer after you draw your answer. This is also an excellent way to learn Glycolysis and the Citric Acid Cycle, just fyi. For naming, just have the molecule structure, obviously. Draw the molecule on your whiteboard, and number your carbons and substituents, find your parent chain, etc, and then write the entire name of the molecule out. Compare what you wrote to the correct name on the card you made.

Hi Liz! I recommend checking out the Organic Chem as a Second Language book. Read the first 2 chapters and do the exercises before you start your first semester of OCHEM I. Also, watch some videos online to gain familiarity with line bond structures (the Organic Chem Tutor on youtube is great!). I did this, and I felt prepared going into my first class:) Keep up with your work--do practice problems and watch videos online. Your lectures will NOT give you all the information you need. Utilize your textbook, online resources, etc. A lot of people like Chad's Prep videos for OCHEM, so that's another resource. And lastly, DON'T BE SCARED! People like to talk about how hard OCHEM is, but it's not impossible. It just requires a lot of time. I'm from a non-science background, and I'm going back to school to pursue a health career. And I'm making an A:) So it's possible!
