After a bad ankle break that required surgery and three plates, I found your workout in desperation. I was five days post-surgery, and every part of my body was sore, especially my hip on the injured leg. I'm now two weeks out from surgery and do your workout nearly every morning. I look forward to it, and it empowers and gives me hope, which can be hard to maintain when you're looking at 10-12 weeks non-weight bearing. I also find that the workout gets the blood flowing in my injured foot in a good way and relieves pain for a couple of hours after. Thank you for creating this!

Recovering from foot/ankle surgery that removed bone spurs and other repairs made. This meant that my Achilles was partially disconnected. These exercises were challenging and never once hurt my foot. I'm grateful. Now, I'll put my boot back on and get on with my day! Thank you for providing this video. It was the first form of exercise I had attempted since surgery.

Hi James - I got into yoga after a nasty battle with covid and it really helped my mind and body recover after losing so much muscle (and losing so much sanity, if we're being honest). I'm on Week 7 with a foot tendon injury and I had such an emotional breakdown today. It has been so difficult to watch my body fall apart again after fighting so hard to bounce back. I have been going through some pretty big adversity with my body. I started being a workout junkie when I was 17. I grew in love with kicking my own ass. It was my outlet I got to unleash everything. Well this year 7 years later. I have torn ligaments in my elbow and broke my ankle In the same month. Immediately after recovering from covid which put me in the hospital. I now have been without my outlet for over a year. I finally decided just to look a up a yoga video for bad ankles and your video popped up. I am so happy I did it. I believe the universe is doing this on purpose to humble me and to force to work on my body the areas it needs most. Your practice brought it all out and I will be doing this every day until I am heeled. Thank you.

I sprained my ankle for the first time in my life 2 days ago and a waterfall of emotions has been raining on me, from feeling limited and not being able to practice my usual movement everyday to changing all the plans to stay rested for most of my day. I'm so glad I decided to check your channel for an ankle-free flow as you were so helpful with your wrist-free videos while I was recovering from my wrist problems a year ago. I enjoyed this strong flow and I loved all the modifications! Now I know that it's possible to keep the practice without putting any pressure on the ankle area. Loved your words at the end about not having to lose practises that we love. It gave me a new perspective and now I'm onto exploring new dimensions and adventures :)

This was SO good and didn’t hurt my ankle at all. Every other injured ankle yoga I tried on KZbin sucked and didn’t have a clue what an ankle can and can’t do. Loved your positive energy and words too. You’re awesome 🤩 Thankyou 🙏

Wow this was sent from heaven. I had a very nasty and intense injury (6 broken bones and collapsed ankle in total) and have been searching for yoga that doesn't use my bad foot. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing this practice. It is exactly what my body needed. I'm currently healing a foot fracture which is almost healed, and this was perfect! Worked/stretched exactly where needed- especially the core & hips- felt so good! I only wish I found this sooner! 💜

Managed to sprain my ankle 5 days BEFORE going on my first ski holiday in two years! Frustrated doesn’t begin to cover how I feel. But just found this flow and doing it while looking out onto snow covered peaks. I won’t be skiing while I’m in the Alps this week but at least I’ll still be looking after myself with this wonderful and considered flow. Thank you!

I have been such a grumpy bum since getting a stress fracture in my foot after playing soccer. My wife dragged me back to the mat after three weeks of sitting around feeling mopey (bless her.) We found your other foot-free video and both enjoyed it so, so much - not only the great flow but the delightful commentary and playful attitude. We're back again today to try this one and cannot wait! She literally got me out of bed by saying..."but we can do yoga...WITH JAMES" and that did it :D Have you ever posted a meditation video? If not, would absolutely love a guided meditation if you'd ever post one, your energy is just delightful.

This workout is perfect for me at this time. Had foot surgery two months ago and still using crutches and boot and/or scooter to get around. Feel like all body parts were worked and had a nice stretch of spine also. Moving around on scooter and/or with a boot and crutches causes your body to stiffen up so very happy with this routine.
