I wonder if the delta in rpm is due to the lathe designed/built for china 50hz power? That could explain your US 60hz power giving it about +20%. Forward and Reverse are backwards - the 3 sets of coils in the motor are labeled U, V, and W. Swap V and W in the wiring block to reverse the motor's direction (as Scottie would say - Reverse the Polarity).

I agree! When running on 110 it sounded “odd” but on 220 it’s better.

Hey Mr Kim enjoyed the video very informative! I’m actually thinking of buying one of these lathes is there anyway you could do a threading video of some thing to see its accuracy of threading?

Good question, I haven’t done any threading on it yet. Truth be told I’ve only done threads on a lathe a couple times so it’s probably time to try it again. Thanks!
