Honestly from just researching today it seems like Elvis would have married her if not for his promise to Priscillas family. Seems like even elvis' friends preferred ann. Not to mention Elvis sent her flowers for every performance she did in Vegas, all the way until he died. That's actually how she found out, is when Elvis didn't send her flowers that day.

I heard in her book she said he was her soul mate. They were definitely each others equal. And both were at the height of their careers and oozed sex appeal.

Ann-Margret is Sweden's gift to the U.S. She is incandescent in this clip, Ann-Margret keeps Elvis on his toes and together they elevate Viva Las Vegas into a naughty and rockin' mild delight. He was the only partner who could match her. He was the best on-screen partner she ever had, and she was his. It’s the most purely entertaining Elvis movie ever, a complete delight and it’s unbelievable they were never teamed again. Ann-Margret Olsson is 82 years old today.

I love this scene. What stands out to me is how cool Elvis dance moves were. Nothing fancy but had so much style and fit his music so well. I remember a line from the TV show Happy Days. Somebody said your the coolest Fonz, and somebody said what about Elvis? Fonz says Elvis is close. That was a huge compliment coming from the Fonz. No one ever was or ever will be as cool as Elvis.
@ElvisRose_
@ElvisRose_ 2 жыл бұрын
Elvis was cool decades before being cool was even a thing which makes Elvis even cooler since he wasn’t even trying. That was not simply before his time but before our current time. It’s really no understatement that Elvis has influenced generations and you could have a lengthy conversation about it without even talking about his music. Take his impact on the fashion world, if you have ever donned a black leather ensemble, feminine colors, popped a collar, or worn a Hawaiian shirt, it’s because Elvis made it cool in the first place. Hell, for a man who has been unfairly criticized for “stealing,” black culture yet Tupac followed Elvis’ fashion footsteps by rocking a gold lamé jacket and black paints in addition to being the first exception to the rule of never wearing white socks with black shoes before Michael Jackson was born let alone wore his first pair of shoes.

She said she had to get out into the world and find herself. She had no problem waiting 8 years for Elvis to marry her. She knew who she was marrying and she knew the lifestyle of Elvis. She also knew that the name Mrs. Elvis Presley would take her places and divorce would take her places and it did, plus, Elvis gave her two million dollars on divorce day, and bought her a house. I guess that she needed another man to help her find herself too. Lol. She and EPE have made millions off of Graceland and Elvis's legacy over the years and are still making big bucks.
