Dear Yasmine, thank for the amazing interview! If you are interested in the deeper analysis of the antisemitic culture in the former Soviet Union, I might be the right person to talk to. I grew up in Moscow during the Cold War and immigrated in my early 20'a to US as a political refugee in the late 1980's. ❤

Its so frightening to see that this barbaric mentality of jumping up and down with joy on Sep 11 or Oct 7 is so widespread amongst Muslims. The world needs to wake up and see that the goal is a new caliphate. Anna is so brave. Well done ❤

Not all were feeling like that, I think they only showed one part story, I know there are Palestinian Christians who are locked in between this conflict and its really sad. I truly feel for the innocent people and children who suffered on Oct. 7th there is absolutely no excuse for what happened it was horrendous.

Anna’s story is inspiring. Hopefully other Jews, especially the young and disaffected, the confused, the unaffiliated, will find themselves in this story. Thank you Yasmine. First time I’ve seen your podcast. I’ll be tuning in more. Weam’s comments about the Assyrian Christian genocide in Iraq, that happened at the same time as the Armenian genocide, is unfortunately a subject that has not received enough attention.
@happydillpickle
@happydillpickle 9 ай бұрын
I'd love it if Weam herself could do an interview with Yasmine. Maybe she already has- I'll have to scroll back through the videos. Thank you for reminding me. There's been so much persecution of the Christians of the Middle East. I didn't even realise before hearing Weam talking that Aramaic was still spoken in Iraq. I'm hoping more and more Middle Eastern Christians speak out on the effects of Islamisation on their lives. There's been too much silence now for too long. It's time to acknowledge the immense damage that has been done and continues to be done in the process of Islamic colonialism. It's been devastating for African nations too. Nigeria has suffered tremendously as have Sudan, Uganda, Ethiopia, Mauritania, where slavery continues to this day. And of course, it's always women who suffer the most.

If you also have strong leadership and laws that are clear and staunchly stand against discrimination, that also helps. Still, some of us have lost close friends since October 7th… people who did know us. It’s so bizarre how quickly they seemed to turn on us and hate us. But I guess, as you said, they were prepped.

A beautiful life story from someone so young. You have a beautiful and courageous soul. I would appreciate an explanation about how, on the one hand, Saudi Arabia is getting rid of the texts that promote antisemitism, while at the same time, the Saudi government has put out a version of the Quran, called the Noble Quran, where they have put certain words in quotation marks. From what I can gather, when the Quran is being,read to non-Muslims or a non-Arabic speaking audience, they ignore the words in quotation marks, but when the same Noble Quran is being read to people who are in Islam, and/or people who they want to radicalize, so they will rise up against democracies, suddenly these words in quotations are ascribed a very sinister meaning, and they’re being used to justify armed conflict against all non Muslims, starting with the Jews because of the way the Left gravitates to their perception of who the underdog is, without doing any homework about who’s financing the group. I don’t understand if this is a form of appeasement to the Wahabi sect that is very very traditional and want to reform Islam to be more like the radical Shia in Iran, or like the Muslim Brotherhood Sunni type of radical Islam, or is the government of Saudi Arabia basically saying “there’s good people on both sides”. Is this approach deemed to be the better way, albeit slower way to get rid of the radical side and the antisemitism? I also wonder whether they really care about antisemitism, or whether they just want to move into the modern world, because radical Islam is more like societies were structured 400 years ago? There’s people who say Israel has a right to exist, but those same people also say but not with Jews in it, which I believe is the Palestinian Authority stance. There’s a lot of fine nuances that I will never understand, and I’m hoping you can clarify why the Saudis would put out a “Trojan Horse” version of the Quran, given their removal of certain texts. Maybe that is just window dressing that the West easily devours without examining other areas like I have.
@happydillpickle
@happydillpickle 9 ай бұрын
I've had a copy of The Noble Qur'an (Saudi version) since the early 00s. It belonged to my violent psychopath ex husband. It's actually one of the more disturbing translations available. All Qurans do have parts of the translation in brackets, either to help explain the text, or as a result of explanations scholars have provided. For example, in the infamous Surah An Nisa 34 (An Nisa means "the women") it's very clearly stated: "As to those women on whose part you see ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next). refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly, if it is useful) Notice the "lightly" part is in brackets? Well, it's not present in the original Arabic text. It's part of a fatwa (ruling) that's been added. Islamists have got away with pretending Islam is a religion of peace and even a feminist religion for so long precisely because they have gone to great lengths to attract Western women to Islam by creating pamphlets about Islam being feminist and also because they say "but you need to know Arabic to understand it" but it was always there, translated, and completely possible to understand. As for the Saudi government, well they were intended to normalise relations with Israel. I hope all the Middle Eastern nations will normalise relations with Israel. This crazy Jew hatred is so poisonous.
@mosfet987
@mosfet987 9 ай бұрын
Crazy jew hatred? Righttttt, yeah let me tell you why Jews are hated. Go to google, and search "breaking the silence israel". Click on the first link and click on video testimonies. And enjoy 300+ video confessions of ex-IDF soldiers committing acts of terrorism. I mean it's so hilarious how oblivious you are to the Palestinian struggle and Israeli terrorism. Like you REALLY have no freakin' clue or you're absolutely brainwashed to the T. It's crazy. The world has a right to hate the bad Jews. Go watch the videos on that website. You're a coward if you don't. Because on there you will see how the IDF has used children as human shields during their search operations, you'll see how the IDF occupied homes just to watch the World Cup, or occupy homes to sleep in them, or you'll see how they've detained a child to "toy" with him and put out ciggarettes on them, or you'll see how the IDF shoots a child 40 min after he threw a molotov, or how they kill an innocent man bc he stared at them. Yes, these ALLLL can be found on that website. These are all said by ex-IDF. No propaganda. No BS. You can't walk out of this. I knew Palestinians were occupied, but man, after watching just 10-20 out of the 300 video confessions, and 200+ text confessions, I now know why Palestinians hate Israelis. I mean it's so obvious. Lol give me a break. "Crazy jew hated is so poisonous" . Don't kill innocent people, don't occupy homes to watch the World cup, don't use children as human shields. Then maybe people won't hate Israelis. God... @@happydillpickle

Reading the Quran shows who you are. It's even more powerful than money and being in political position. Some read the quran and show their sensitive and spiritual side and some others read it and their true evil self shows itself. It simply depends on your own interpretation. I say you wanna know something about yourself, read the quran.

@@Username74-b8h Well reading the Qur'an gave my psychopath ex husband plenty of excuses to physically and sexually abuse me. I'm sure he would have done that without reading the Qur'an. Please check out the many videos and articles written by Izabella Tabarovsky, who grew up in the Soviet Union and also experienced the antisemitism there (unable to go to the university she wanted to - it's worse than quotas - some universities made it impossible for Jews to attend). Her work in recent years as an academic in the US is on the direct connection between Soviet anti-Zionist propaganda and more recent western anti-Zionism, which first came through the far Left but has now become mainstream. She shows how the messages are not just similar but actually identical. It's so important that people understand where this comes from and how/why antisemitism is an inseparable part of it.

What a confusion between identity, gender, race, religion and culture! As I am one of those left-wing people that you hate I AM, not against religious freedom, but against religious intolerance. I am absolutely anti-racist and anti-sexist. And finally, I am anti-nationalist (or, what you might call it, i am a "cosmopolitan"). That's why I'm disgusted to hear speeches that mix the different components of "individuality": trying to demonstrate that one religion is "superior" to another seems absurd to me! After all, what does it mean to be an "Israeli?" For Ms.Anna, apparently, the fact of being Islamic prevents it. She even goes so far as to accept that being "Arab" is also an impediment. The fact that both of you have had passed traumatic experiences regarding a certain religion, does not give you the right to make generalizations (there are many currents and ways of living Islam), much less to make this kind of competition between religious confessions! As far as I know, in the same way as with the Christianity, also in Judaism there are several currents (ranging from fundamentalism, to a more "secular" religiosity). Finally, let's not be "innocent": we live in times in which critical positions in relation to a given religion, ideological position and, In the case of Israel, "ethnic origin" is "capitalized" and used as a "throwing weapon" by antagonistic groups! The fact that Yasmine Mohammed presents herself as a Canadian human rights activist (and not as an Israeli human rights activist) raises serious doubts as to the "independence" and "kindness"of her motivations! (I think I'm being clear enough... and I trust the intelligence of whoever reads me)

The fact that yours is the only comment out of all the comments in this video that is so lacking in empathy and understanding says everything. Your narcissistic way of writing, your inability to have any kindness or compassion for someone else who does not present your dogmatic point of view.. it’s heartbreaking. I too am a leftist, an anti-theist, a “cosmopolitan” by your own definition I suppose, and I am so ashamed to be identified in one camp with people like you. I find tremendous solace in the fact that I only ever encounter your kind of radical obtuseness online. the real-life people I meet on a daily basis give me hope in humanity. All I can do is hope that something wakes you up from this delusion you’re in and that someone out there finds a way to help you expand your mind and heart. I will keep believing that a day will come where the left - my Left - will return to the values of compassion, liberalism and women’s rights. To Anna and Yasmine - thank you for this interview from the bottom of my bleeding leftist heart. I support you both and will continue to spread your messages unwaveringly.
