I managed a popular restaurant in Hollywood for a couple years before the Pandemic and we’d constantly have celebrities dine with us but Anna Kendrick was somewhat of a regular. She was the sole celebrity I semi got to know and let me tell you, she is exactly who you see in these clips, but so much more down-to-earth. She’s super confident, funny, and comfortable to be around. She never took herself too seriously. One night a song by The Spice Girls came on and she just stood up and started singing along. Whenever she was there, people just had a good time around her. Just a cool girl. Thought I’d share cause she made a great impression upon me🤷🏻♂️

@@missMediaChick "Endless reputation" would be a term used for the thing she is more known for. A handful of stories spread by tabloid magazines is not a reputation. This video is her reputation. That's what this whole video is about. So you are saying that the unsubstantiated negative reports you read in tabloids are what you chose to believe over the overwhelming evidence showing otherwise, and you thought that you'd win people over (fans nonetheless) by commenting with your minority view that you've chosen to believe against logic and your own eyes. I really like her. But I think her authenticity is almost a sad reflection of the horrors of social media and Hollywood. She can be anything including her authentic self because she is one of the most attractive humans on the planet. Her looks, her personality, her career are all a perfect encapsulation of what society wants people to be. And that gives her freedom. Other people successful or not have to grind. But that grind ultimately goes no where because we can never compete with her. She will always be more attractive and charming than 99.9% of the population not matter how hard they work. In the past that was ok. Because Anna could only be in one place at a time. But with social media she and those like her can be everywhere. The normals have no chance to compete. Normal people can never be as authentic because they need to try to match her image. Only the Anna's can be their authentic selves. We used to live in a world with a downside to fame. Where fame was a trap keeping people from living authentically. But this has reversed. We now live in a world where only the few with massive social power are free to live how they want. The rest of us are too addicted to our phones to be ourselves. And even if we escape momentarily no one else notices because "Anna" is everywhere.

This came at the right time. I finished watching Self Reliance yesterday and it left me thinking, “Anna Kendrick always hits the nail on the head with her character portrayals.” Her delivery is top tier. Great show, highly recommend.

i’ve been a huge fan of anna for so long which started with pitch perfect and a few years ago i was never one to really watch a bunch of interviews of my fave celebrities but over the past 2/3 yrs i’ve gotten into that phase more and i never realized how funny and charming she is and i love that sm bc you can tell she’s genuinely an authentic person which makes her even more enjoyable especially considering how people can be in hollywood and it honestly makes me love her even more

Shes brilliant, 1:50 "just a kid that another kid will have to fight when the water wars come" yes, you could have an 'empire' & have offspring & die, but there's *no guarantee that your progeny will not die out maybe immediately after you are dead*
@Curiousinternetperaon2 ай бұрын
"there's no guarantee", what? When has there ever been a guarantee? The only guarantee is if you don't have them then they surely won't exist. 🤦♂That's not brilliance, that's just a pessimistic spin from someone *speculating* about the future.

I’ve always been proud that when I saw her in Camp at a 2003 film festival I said “that movie was hot garbage* but that Anna girl is going to be a superstar.” It wasn’t something I said … almost ever … so I was really excited when she popped into Up in the Air. *with talented performers, don’t yell at me.

@ChrisS-oo6fl11 ай бұрын
So you think her interviews that are also on camera with pre approved topics of discussions are a window into her her true character? That’s an adolescent and dangerous comprehension of reality. If you want to know who she or any other person is in real life you cannot go by footage from projects or interviews. Be careful though your reality might get shattered. Anna for instance is a real POS. Maybe this is a learning experience. Try searching the web for anyone who’s worked with her or met her off camera. Try tik tok or KZbin maybe. Google is free but fan and media blogs likely won’t be a great source of authentic information.

When I met her in the set of pitch perfect 3, I was shocked at how she interacted with the cast and crew. I didn’t understand her sense of humor yet and just thought she was being awful to people but now that I have seen her in these interviews, it makes me really like and appreciate how she is with people. She just seems so real. Like I would say and do those same things if I was comfortable with someone and here I was judging just because she is a celeb and we hold them to this other weirdly high standard lol so strange…

have always loved her! she’s the kind of person you wish you could be best friends with. she’s just insanely likable & charming & effortlessly beautiful and cool but not in a way where you feel like jealous or intimidated but you just wanna hang out with her! she deserves all of her success & i’m genuinely happy to see how well she’s done for herself. i loved a simple favor lol. probably one of the last movies i saw in a theater pre-pandemic. those were the days. excited to see her moving into directing and trying different things and looking forward to what she does next! also side note i was weirdly excited to hear nocturne no. 2, op. 9 in e flat major in the background of this video. my university had this huge insanely beautiful library and i used to go to the upper floors and find myself a nice quiet little nook to post up in and study and read/just get away from the world and of course this was on my library playlist lol. sorry, just reminds me of how peaceful it was… miss that library. i know nobody cares and idk why i felt so compelled to share that but it’s too late now, i already typed it out. ok bye!

All the best people in Hollywood, the ones you would actually want to meet, have Anna Kendrick's soul. Seeing Robin Williams introduce her at the Oscars was almost emotional for me because he has that same soul. Ryan Reynolds and Tom Holland also come to mind

For some reason I assumed this would be a piece on something weird she did that isn't actually satire but I'm so glad it's not. She's so genuine and just a great person on screen and fun to watch. Personally, I watch Mr. Right multiple times a year. Her interviews are great, strait up, hilarious, and relatable. She made it without having to set aside who she is and we love her all the more for it.
