I LOVE how Anna didnt reveal anything more personal that Diana may have said at that lunch. She focused on her personal style and legacy. Very classy, Ms. Wintour.

For a high school drop out, She has accomplished a lot more than those who have MBAs. . . She is MORE than the Devil Wears Prada. Admire her more for this interview

NCT illichi The success of Vogue and the Met can’t be bought. She worked to achieve the level she’s at. She may have had opportunity, but she took that and worked to build Vogue to what it is today.

Ha! For a high school dropout in the 60’s. Times have changed. Not everyone has the luxury to drop out of school and make it. Anna had Teo things most don’t. Anna’s father was a wealthy and influential British newspaper editor. Do you think without him she would have likely got the start and made the initial connections to do what her father had decided for her - work at vogue. Her surname alone not only opened doors, but opened wallets. People get MBA’s because they don’t have a notorious surname or a powerful daddy in the industry like hers. If anything her white privileged, upper class background, brutal work ethic and ruthlessness was what kept her in the job she’s doing. And that’s equally admirable and horrific. She would never get away with it starting out today. Her mother - an American and daughter to a celebrated Harvard law school professor - was very much attracted to humanitarian causes and philanthropy, which is where Anna gets her charitable side. I feel that if anything Anna wants to be really remembered for it is that. Everything else is surface. What she did with the Met and NY Costume institute, namely the Anna Wintour Costume Centre. And heading the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. These will - in her eyes - be her legacy, not the caricature she is known as. Fashion fades and is easily replaceable. She know that. Charity work is remembered and celebrated and her name will be cemented in that.

Her politics are naïve and the point of view she represents are over. She basically said it herself at the end when she mentioned ability over identity but what she doesn’t realize is America is already there and dems are about to be obliterated fantastically. She had an amazing run though....

Why allegedly, would the decent discerning public consent, to the idol worship, of narcissistic, hellyweird satanick masonick , Entertainment Industry created,multimillionaire, obvious, gender inverted biological male, deceiver sellout, who, for decades, have been deliberately, mocking and fooling the good public, by masquerading as a female and laughably, self proclaiming themselves to be the so called, voice of authority and the gatekeeper who dictates to real biologically-born women, that possess real wombs, what is deemed to be fashionable and artistic, allegedly?

So how much things have changed in a year for Ms. Wintour. Her son is a physician who suffered through COVID and is back to work. No doubt she has been impacted by this, all of us have. Our values, understanding the importance of everyone we work with, understanding that we are all one family and those "under" us actually hold us up and hold up the whole system. God is trying to tell us something, love one another as I have loved you.

In todays world it seems that people who are very successful in their line of work (and told that they are) segue into other fields thinking they have the same level of expertise. They dole out commentary and advice with the assertiveness of someone who has spent their life in that particular area. That said I do see that more often than not "regular" people are coming to this realization and seem to be turned off by this quasi god like complex. I am a firm believer in knowing your line of work as best you can. I admire Anna for her masterful grasp of her line of work however I do feel that commentary and personal opinion outside of your area of expertise should be expressed in limited fashion (no pun intended).
@alexedi4 жыл бұрын
So from this I gather that you have a PhD in Politics. Either that, or this is a misguided comment. Apart from "their line of work", (some) people also have something called "critical thinking", and are knowledgeable about the world around them. Also, freedom of opinion (on either aisle). The most glaring and ironic example of people being told they're successful and segueing into other fields based on that is Trump. Who has no critical thinking whatsoever. Just ego, lust for power, and a love for Kim (not the Kardashian) and Vladimir.
