I adore and admire Naomi, but respect for other people's time is an important and necessary characteristic. I also admire Anna and respect her demanding schedule. The rest of the editorial is nonsense, mess, none of our business and for them to work through.

Anna Wintour might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but she is a professional. Showed up on time and prepared a speech honoring Naomi and had to leave the event to go to another engagement. As much as I like Naomi’s work, I’m tired of her entitlement, her privilege and her narrative of being a strong black woman who overcame many obstacles to reach her level of success. No girl, you are privileged and entitled! You’re also an ingrate because people like Anna opened the doors for you and you are privileged to still be modeling in your 50s, but with those bad habits of being late and “clapping back”, those doors can be closed on you, just watch!

Anna is known for being cold, efficient and not personable. Grace Coddington who worked closely with her, said that Anna is ruthless, quick, decisive and very efficient. Nobody really knows her. But what people all agree on, is that she is very efficient and punctual. One thing she won't do, is being late. That's why she has two assistants. To ensure she is always on time and present. Not a nice person but very professional. I admire that.

They are both highly respected figures at the top of their field, so I highly doubt anything will happen to either of their careers and relationship. Naomi will still land Vogue covers and editorials, even if it is not American Vogue, and Anna will still run American Vogue, so long as she chooses not to retire or die from old age. They still respect each other, as Anna still considers Naomi the greatest runway model with Shalom Harlow, and Naomi respects Anna for being a powerful woman running the biggest fashion magazine in the world, as well as both being fellow Brits. That said, I agree with Anna on this one. Naomi's tardiness was highly unprofessional, especially when you have multiple people dedicate an event to celebrate your achievements. Just because you are a legendary model doesn't put you above the law. Naomi is notorious for being consistently late, that even Barbara Walters put her on blast on national tv for being like 4 hours late to her interview (extremely unprofessional in any field if you ask me). It is very irresponsible and almost narcissistic to expect that behavior to slid by without any consequences. The rules don't bend around you just because you are a legendary model. Cindy Crawford always said the most important things for models to do is to show up on time, and be off your phone when people are doing your hair and makeup. Respect gets you a long way.

I agree and though I admire both ladies, I must say that habitual tardiness is preventable and one of my pet peeves. I periodically had to travel with a tech colleague to our regional office 3 hrs away to attend director meetings. I warned my colleague who was regularly late, that if she wasn't on time, I'd leave without her. She adjusted and arrived on time.

It's tricky because being late when you're the recipient of being honoured throws people off. Especially when the presenter is Anna, who regards punctuality highly. If you're late to the airport you miss your flight. Be gracious. I still love Anna and Naomi

Those ladies know how media works. They might even have called eachother:"Hey Naomi, printed press is getting out of style and we have to move with the times. Can you show up late to your award ceremony? I will throw some shade and then leave. And then you receive your award and throw shade back. We both have big enough fanbases to get people talking. It's good publicity for both of us" Don't forget: Anna is not a fashionista. She is a publisher and advertisement broker.

Noami was late and yes that’s not very professional but it wasn’t Anna’s role to “school” her…she should have tried to make light of it and not embarrass her. Unnecessary honestly! It wasn’t her event and there’s no need to embarrass another colleague in the industry. Always be careful not to burn bridges and make yourself “higher” than everyone! She could have just privately called her after the event and expressed her unhappiness. Sounds immature-why publicly humiliate Noami???

My sister does this. And she will never apologise. She sets up appointments and then leaves you hanging. Never apologises. An apology goes a long way. I can appreciate my sister has a busy schedule but come on. It really hurts because she's my sister. But she is not going to change. I don't expect things from her anymore. It's disappointing

Anna Wintour is a legend who has run the magazine and has a very busy schedule. Naomi will be an "icon" but be grateful that Anna W. was going to give you the recognition. Naomi is so wrong that she doesn't realize she's harming herself. If we talk about status, Anna doesn't need to shout it since everyone knows that she is still powerful. Naomi's career will be great but it is not even 3% of the career of Anna Wintour who put Naomi on HER FIRST SEPTEMBER COVER, because she saw potential. Kiss her feet because if it weren't for Anna, I'm sure Naomi's career wouldn't be the same.

People on the cover of magazines, especially Vogue, are not chosen because they want to make them famous. It means they have accomplishments. So, no, you're wrong for saying that. Naomi has been on Vogue covers even before that American cover. In fact, Anna should be grateful for Naomi, because that cover was the number one best selling. The difference between Anna and Naomi is that, Naomi can be in any publications, media and runways. Anna is just Editor in chief for Vogue. Not everyone reads that magazine. Naomi is and can be consumed by the public more.
