@lisa-mariegray55103 жыл бұрын
@@etcetraetcetra3173 Right. Look at the mannequins. Then look at an old photo of an order of nuns. They were all dressed the same. They were allowed no individuality, no freedom. They were forced into silence 23 hours a day. The mannequins are a valid representation of the life of a religious in years gone by.

Colbert a religious man? Now that takes the cake. He MOCKS the faith. He doesn't practice it. If he did, he wouldn't hate on any-one. I have no respect for Mr. Stephen Colbert. He is sad.And lost, just counts his money after he spreads hate and negativity.
@ranoshe4ka6 жыл бұрын
Nobody Special well, that’s your opinion, but I do think that he mocks various old school and laughable things about church and religion. Being religious does not mean that you can’t see its flaws, seeing them does not mean you don’t believe in God. I am not at all religious myself, but that’s what I think about Colbert.

There is a Catholic reverence for vestments and accouterments. Even a simple priest will likely have something that was made by hand, embellished by hand, prayed over again and again as it was being made. It's not aggrandizing the fallible men, but a beautiful expression of faith and devotion that may also reflect the culture that produced it.

You can tell that the folks at the Met are not really "into" humor. Only La Wintour was relaxed enough to give a modest little laugh now and again. Maybe that's what the humor needed, a whole cast playing it straight against Colbert's silliness. He is perhaps the most charming man of his times.

Nobody Special it was a bigger percentage than u say. And lets remember, instead of calling the police on these offenders, the catholic church just moved these pedophiles to another state w/ the hopes of covering/quieting the sexual assault of children situation. All of religion is horsesh*t! Save urself and stop going
