I wouldn't mind being more open about my past mistakes. Sadly, rape, murder, robbery, and arson are still criminalized, and there remains a $20,000 reward for the many unsolved incidents in my area of the world. Some day, when our society has evolved past the need to cling to outmoded Biblical values, I'll go on national TV and discuss my errors publicly

World needs more moms like you. In parents WhatsApp group I often get headache reading texts from other parents who seem to never get exposed to printed materials when they (we) were growing up. Which is understandable since during 80-90's purchasing printed material in my country was still considered a luxury for many families. Plus libraries were not advertised much. However I think it's still important for parents to upgrade ourselves, take advantage of easy access to every knowledge and skill the internet provides, not to take for granted whatever our childhood shaped us. Kids mirror their parents

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized mindfulness is key. It’s important to remind yourself every day, every hour, to behave mindfully and respectfully. Pause before answering questions. Breathe before you get emotionally upset. Take a walk every day and spend time taking care of your physical and mental health. Make yourself hard to access unless people earn it. These lessons come with experience and age but watching these lessons helps reinforce those lessons. Thank you Anna.

@@kounelitsa whilst I’m not the tagged recipient I thought I may be able to help a little, at least on the lounge/bedding end. Lilysilks quality I find, depends on the item. I have a few pieces of the 22momme weight pajamas, years later still in amazing condition. Most of the pajama/ slip camisoles have a 1cm seam allowance if you need to let it out a little, but always size up. Also check that the silk is on both the front and back facing panels as images can be a little deceptive. I love the delux nightcap, not the other versions of their bonnets though (no lining unfortunately), although it looses breathability after a while. Unlike slipsilk, their pillowcases don’t tear or fade easy, but would recommend the zipper version, as the envelope version kept sliding off my pillow lol. They also have in cart offers worth checking out, so in the ‘view your cart’ section after adding an item they often have opportunities to buy reduced cost items to try like a $10 silk large eye mask that is 💯 worth it

Anna, thank you so much for your videos and advice. I live in NYC, born and raised. I'm a city gal but hate the crowds. When you talked about getting in line (queue) I remember back to my first time in Paris. Everyone on the metro was polite, even though it was very crowded. I describe it as a beautiful dance. People slipping past others in a graceful manner. In NYC, it s a full on contact sport. People (men and women) derive great joy from pushing and hitting others and excuse it as "it's crowded, what are you going to do? 🤷🏾‍♀️". I've had plenty of men full on body check me. I dont wait in line for anything, not the store, not the train, bus, airport, nothing. I always hang back, let people fight, push, get aggravated then I step on. Or I wait for the next train, there is always another train. When I fly, I sit far from my gate and watch with great bemusement the people anxiously lining up around the check in counter, jumping to get in line first, to stand around and wait. My seat is confirmed and only I can sit in it. I'm the last person to board and because of this I get my bag checked for free 😎. When we land, I smile as everyone is jumping up to just stand there. Lol. I'm the last to leave, my luggage is waiting for me and I enjoy a nice peaceful walk. My peace is priceless.

Anna, thank you for addressing proper texting etiquette. Its truly sad that proper decorum is being lost because it is viewed as “old fashioned”. Thank you for everything you do to help bridge that gap!

Oh yes, proper decorum is so rare nowadays. The way some people text is so weird, I can barely understand it. Then they get mad at you for not understanding their text messages that read like they never passed elementary school. Furthermore, manners are so rare, it’s appalling.

@@hikerhobby1204 I think we may just be in a stage of technology overload. Many of the manners and rules of etiquette might be ‘old fashioned’, in that, they took a millennia to establish. I suspect, in time, it will sort itself out. Unfortunately whilst platforms like TikTok and Twitter still exist, which rely on provoking the worst forms of social interactions, I do worry that it will get worse before it gets better.

I'm going to add a teeny tiny detail that people don't think about very often, but others notice. Dirty phone cases and earphones. It shows your hands are dirty (even if you wash them because you're constantly holding a dirty phone) and you don't take care of your hygiene (because people can see the earwax on your earphones) and that gives a very strong impression you're overall dirty.

I was polite and cordial with her and told her I wasn't about lose my job over bending the rules because of company policy and my boss even explained it was for auditing purposes. . she got what she wanted I got her in and out of the store . She could have been more polite however , I'm surprised she did well in business at all.

My addition to about paying attention to your smell: arrive fresh to your beauty/ wellness appointments. It’s classy because it shows respect to the person that’s going to work on you. Don’t keep your hair without washing for too long just because you’re going to have it professionally washed at your next hairdresser appointment. Shower right before going to get a massage or body treatment and if you think you’re gonna get there all sweaty consider if you can freshen up there or choose a more convenient time.

My nan always told me to never borrow money and never be late for an appointment or meeting. Also taught myself and my siblings proper table manners. Keep elbows off the table, never talk with your mouth full (or at all when at the table), put cutlery down in between mouthfuls, chew your food and don't bolt it down. I instilled good manners in my daughter and a judge once praised me for raising a lovely young lady (my daughter was assaulted by her Anorexia counsellor, not involved in a crime herself).

I think that even if you “can hold your alcohol” and you’re able to drink a lot without getting messy, you still shouldn’t drink more than 4 drinks in a night. Even if it doesn’t affect your behaviour, it still seems pointless to have more than 4 drinks. I think it is better to have one or two drinks, and then order non-alcoholic cocktails after that, to show that you have restraint and also that you value self care and taking good care of the health of your mind and body. Alcohol does damage to your organs over time no matter how well you think you can hold your liquor
@mojsamsunggs2
@mojsamsunggs2 Жыл бұрын
This! The healthiest amount of alcohol, according to the newest research, is none. Anna suggested that you should smoke discreetly, if you must do it, I think it's a little similar with alcohol - by having moderation, you set an example for other people and show you care about your well-being and those who accompany you, for whom you can only be present if you aren't incapacitated. Plus, your alcohol tolerance may vary depending on how tired you are, how much you've eaten on a given day etc. Of course nobody's perfect and classy all the time but if we're talking about classy behaviour, that's my opinion :)

4 drinks it's a lot! My limit is 3 with friends and 2 if I'm in a formal situation. For example, last week I attended an international conference, and at night there were dinners and parties. Imagine to consume 4 drinks in that context. It would be very inappropiated.

This video is SO well done. The content is helpful and also triggering (I cringed because I saw myself in a few of the examples). I love the images and video clips you incorporate. I get super excited whenever there's a new AB video. You look stunning (as usual). I love your attention to detail. You are a wonderful life teacher and the go to expert on this subject by far.

The generation of my grandmothers and my mother was so different. Most women had class naturally. What an upside down world it is now. Class has almost become extinct. 😢 Thank you Anna for these reminders. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all women had these 10 classy traits!

Hi Anna! That sky blue dress is a great color for you. It suits your complexion and eye color. I remember you have had dresses in the same shade earlier as well and each time I have given you a compliment. Sadly, I am so far away in northern Europe that you cannot hear me. Today´s video offered us excellent advice. Tack.

Some things i really would have liked to know in my late teenage years. There was no youtube and Anna was still learning things herself at that moment. Well, i'm glad that you are here now, for women from all ages. And i think it would be great if men watched some of these videos too.

Anna, I love the way your color coordinated your set in this video. It's perfect and makes the viewer want to watch. I like the points you bring up. Some are funny, but true, like taking too many freebies. Sometimes it's hard to be elegant when one is poor. In this case, one must be discreet in procuring the freebies.😁💕😆
