I wore a pretty baby blue long sundress Friday. I typically don't wear dresses, but working on changing my image. The dress made me walk slower, and feel more confident. Guess what I got so many compliments. It was a simple dress, but it totally changed the way I felt. I went to a doctor appointment and the receptionist said, you look pretty, from there went to a store and a woman commented that they liked the color of the dress. As I was going about my errands for the day, for the first time I really saw that I stood out, most women had on t shirts, leggings, jeans. Very interesting that I saw this because I didn't dress like them, which I typically do.

I don't know why women started wearing pants. I don't even own a pair of jeans and have only owned 2 pair in 40 years. I wear a dress at all times unless I participate outdoor sport. Women don't know how to look like ladies anymore.

Omg, can relate. On the road full of girls wearing top and jeans and a ponytail, I stood out wearing a pencil skirt and top with hair combed and set properly. I was delighted when I discovered that I can change my appearance completely with a healthy lifestyle, excercise, plantbased foods, natural skin and hair products, some make-up, well made clothes and a good haircut. Also, choosing an environment of kind (non toxic 😅) people that allows you to enhance your best qualities and to progress within whatever areas that interest you, adds to your beauty, because it allows the spirit to shine through, so to speak. When I was younger I didn't know beauty is something that changes. I thought you're given a certain degree of beauty and that's that. No. It's more like the weather. It changes.

Confidence plays a key role actually. We tend to underestimate or not take it seriously enough. Also we have to be confident even in small actions/gestures which is easy to overlook and has ripple effect. I experienced it with this guy. I know I'm an interesting, fun and Average looking person. But with him I didn't have confidence because he was extremely attractive. I was so submissive and quiet around him. And even when we had conversations I'd be super unconfident and even in setting boundaries. He manipulated and got his ways and realized I have no self esteem or respect for myself. THIS made me unattractive for him and one day he stopped talking to me. Didn't even think of ending it correctly.
@paulamuniz58453 жыл бұрын
Firstly, you're by no means average looking, girl! Secondly, it's through bad experiences like that that we learn our most valuable life lessons. And sometimes it's not even with looks that we downplay ourselves; maybe the man is extremely accomplished, wealthy or intelligent, and then we feel we do not meet up with him. This can lead to so many problems, which becomes a limiting factor in keeping the relationship healthy. Confidence in ourselves and our capacities is absolutely key!
@preranapradeep39633 жыл бұрын
@@paulamuniz5845 oh thank you! Yeah exactly. One more point I forgot to add was, I learnt a great lesson that revising your character development time and again is necessary. I was in a toxic relationship two years ago. After so much of self improvement I got back brand new. I was confident and all that. Then when I met this guy I forgot all the lessons and consciousness and let myself slip away.

@@preranapradeep3963 I don't know if you've heard about attachment styles. Sometimes we may feel quite comfortable in our skin, but then we may meet a certain person and this may create a lot of insecurities in us. I don't feel exercising is about trying to be a size 2. I've seen plenty of bigger girls who are far prettier than smaller girls bc they dress for their style and compliment their shape. "Exercising " is a very misleading concept/hobby It's about learning what foods your body needs , learning to listen to your body , builfong goid eating habits, connecting with your mind then very lastly and making your shape more streamline & building body confidence Even if you only work out one day per week : a personal trainer that'll teach you basic nutrition & eating habits will make you feel so dam good about yourself

I agree with you 100%. I have a Muslim friend but she's secular. We were out shopping last week and we just happened upon a rooftop cafe that has Friday afternoon music and is a great ambiance. We talked about going together which for me is no problem but she has a friend coming from Jaffa and she wants to go with her and not take me. Ok, I'm a lot older, (but still fun) I was saying I didn't think it was appropriate for me to go all alone because it would give the wrong impression even to younger men. My grey head doesn't seem to be a barrier for them. She didn't quite get it and I'm ambivalent because it is afternoon not night but still... I think reading your comment has convinced me that my first instinct to not go alone is the right one.

@@missn111 the main thing I can think of is keep it clean and nothing too flashy but most importantly keep it tidy, any wallet bursting at the seams with receipts will look a mess

Keep it full of $100 bills and it will look affluent. Just joking. Good leather, no monograms and in good condition will always be the right look. Probably not a lot of plastic inserts for photos, if people even still use those. When you do open it to get one of those 100's, be discreet.

You are so right with all of these points. The most stunning woman I have known was the wife of my father’s best friend. Nobody would ever have called her pretty but she was the most stylish, perfectly groomed woman I have ever seen and she was so nice and always positive. Even in her 50s and 60s she would walk into a restaurant and people would put down their knives and forks and turn and stare at her. She was an amazing role model for me as a teenager.

Speaking of smiling, all my life I've been inconfortable to smile 🤭 because of my small teeth 🦷 and my severe gummy smile. I decided to have orthodontics. Then I got jaw surgery in 2019 to fix the gummy smile and improve my jawline and I got my braces removed. My smile has incredibly improved, it really changed my life. I smile at literally anyone (some of my male coworkers must think I'm flirting with them 🤣) and my friends and family say how happy I look now. I'm not single, but men are now asking for my number and engaging with me in random places. My profile picture was taken the day of my 40th anniversary. Ladies, if you are self conscious about your appearance, try to do something about it, even if it's just a very small improvement. Your confidence will grow, I promise!

I am so happy (and relieved) to hear you speak of femininity. There is a great power within women, but so many women don’t ever tap into it. It used to be called “feminine wiles” and it was considered a good thing. It saddens me that our current culture shames women for being feminine and men for being masculine.
@kkpenney4443 жыл бұрын
Nobody is shaming men and women for these traits. What's shameful is toxic 'masculinity' and deferential, submissive 'femininity'.
@induguzman55182 жыл бұрын
@@kkpenney444 This!!!! The reason most women struggle with femininity is because of how they're treated as women. Theres this toxic femininity. Men too struggle because there's this toxic masculinity that they are pressured into. But it's beyond the box. For example, I'm a woman who enjoys weightlifting and watching MMA but those activities do not make me any less feminine. I'm a bit of a tomboy and hate high heels and dresses/skirts. But I found cute tops, flats and pants that make me feel feminine and feminine energy comes from me. And i haven't had issues attracting men even as an almost 40 yr old woman with kids and extra weight (which I'm working on to improve). I love what Anna says about being yourself while being your true feminine self. You don't have to be someone you are not.

So many good points especially the last one. A woman who is comfortable in her skin and knows who she always attracts men even if she is a plain Jain.

You are really right. Not for men but only for ourselves. We need positivity, body positivity and good mood. And in order to do this we should set strong boundaries or avoid negative people. It’s a daily fight. Sometimes it’s easier other times not. I hope to watch more inspiring videos like this one in your channel. ;-)
