The bots achieve a rating via an average , so they play weak until you attack and then they play waay above level to defend , it’s really infuriating. Every time you attack a bot they turn into a master

Isla is the only 1700 I just can’t ever beat. Andrea is the only 1801. Lorenzo at 1800 is less challenging than Isla… it helps the Lorenzo plays really awful openings. So if you get a good advantage in the opening and then just play solid, eventually one of the games will be a W. But I’ve feel like I need another 30-50 games against Isla to even come close to a chance at winning.

Took me 5 tries against new Isla. I forget how many it took me before me before I beat standard Isla, but way more than that. The bots do collapse occasionally and miss a 3 move tactic, some times very early in the game.

Never underestimate any chess bot. The rating that they are assigned is a bit misleading. They're unpredictable. You can never tell when they're going to play stupid moves that no human would make and when they're going to play better than Magnus Carlsen. I got beaten senseless by Wally for a long time. This bot's assigned rating is 1800, but it will sometimes hit 2300 in some of the games I've lost to him. Now that I no longer drink alcohol, am getting more sleep, am exercising before the game, am giving myself unlimited time to play the game, and am eating healthier meals, I've begun to narrow my losses to the advanced bots. Out of our past 6 games, I've gotten 3 draws and 3 wins to Wally. Out of our previous 5 games, I've beaten the bot Joel 4 times and lost once. I still struggle with Charles, and his assigned rating is 2000.

yeah she (it) is kinda hard. I've played lots 1700 bots who were way higher than declared, sometimes like 2700ish. Someone like you who's gotten 100% accuracy and 3000 elo in that other video (and has looks combined with brains lol) shouldn't quit chess, keep going girl ;) btw they don't need to make any changes with morphy (who btw is 2500 and not 2600) since he's already dead/a ghost 😂

It’s just a literary tool called hyperbolic statement which people use everyday, by “quitting chess” it means “she almost quit chess because of this” or “she felt like quitting chess” but that’s too long and not as exciting, so many use those shorter hyperbolic statements. True clickbait is what GothamChess does. But yeah most KZbinrs use clickbait or hyperbolic statements so that people will watch the content, but I find Anna doesn’t do it as often.
