Yes BUT a few points to counter that my friend. No.1 that was a couple of videos ago,so she may now feel that she's improved and is now a stronger player No.2 everyone is initialed to change their mind and I'm sure you know what they say about it being a woman's perogative to change their minds 😅 No.3 she may just have being trying to challenge herself by playing that way against a stronger opponent, we need to play against better opponents to improve No.4 She may have being trying to confuse him as they're friends, she may have figured that he knew her game and would've expected her to play that way No.5 She's Anna,so she often does wacky things with a great big smile on her face😅😅

I love playing chess against bot and doing puzzle but as soon as I have to play against humans I completely fall apart, shacking, cold hand, heart pounding and everything. Whenever I lose I'm so mad at myself and I don't play anymore for weeks. Seeing you take the L graciously like that, even laughing about it and being able to analyze it is really inspiring. Well done.

No it’s not. On the contrary, usually chess players have tons of annoying “habits” to distract you and make you feel uncomfortable. With a fríend you Know you can relax and focus on the game. You do feel bad though if your friend blunders or has a bad day and plays worse that usual. It’s sometimes hard to actívate your killer instinct against a friend.

I want to say something. You brought such a positive energy to this video that I thought "She must have won the game." Really appreciate how upbeat you are and that you have the right attitude. Thanks for "bringing it" every single video you make. Also... as a lowly 1600 player who has a fair number of high-level scalps... do NOT underestimate a 1600 player. They may have some kind of weakness in their play, but they aren't always going to drop a piece at move 20. Sometimes they'll play tough and give you a real scare. Don't underestimate us. I myself have knocked off an expert once and 1900 players multiple times in tournament length games, so don't assume we are easy targets. Take us seriously. And have fun. =)

Just a quick tip Anna. When Eric almost made that blunder where you could fork his two rooks, you grabbed your pen and were ready to start writing the move. Don't ever do that! Eric saw that and then stopped his move and changed his mind. Stay calm if you see an advantage and just be quiet and don't move a finger!

The Trompowsky was named after Octavio Trompowsky, a Brazilian chess player. I went online and though 'Trompowsky' is pronounced in various ways in various dialects, the Portuguese (Brazilian) pronunciation seemed to be /trompovski/ or /tromposki/ from what I could find. So I feel like you were pronouncing it closer to right initially.

That's because the name isn't Portuguese. The name itself came from Polish-Brazillian immigrants and is Polish. And if it still matter, yes, we would say trompovski/tromposki, very close to Anna's old pronunciation. But even he might have pronunced his name differently and Levy's pronunciation is just, well, English.

Hello, Anna, the Reykjavik Open videos from you and Pia are absolutely awesome, thank you so much! Your broadcasts truly bright up the days! Anna, please let me tell you, Pia is working very hard to commentate your games. Please take good care of her. I believe she is overstraining. Set her an alarm so that she takes a break every hour or so, or just "give" her a free day. Was impossible to hear her crackling voice during your second game yesterday, I had am impression her voice is just going to fail. She was almost whispering at some point. And she was making _a lot_ of factual mistakes, mixing up words, and apologizing for her tiredness! There is no need for that kind of sacrifice. Thank you and Pia again for all the work you are doing!

*”April’s Fool”* aha aw she’s so adorable 🥺🥺 Also, if “Trompowski” is Polish, then the proper pronunciation is rolling the “r”, the “o” is a soft “o” (like “posh”, and unlike “power”), and yes Anna is correct, the “w” makes the “f” sound. So in Polish it would be Trom-pof-ski. The Americanized pronunciations is Trom-POW-ski.

At 7:50 You missed a big opportunity. Bishop e4xc6 forking 2 rooks and if the b7 pawn takes your bishop you hit back with the queen forking the 2 rooks and the bishop. Black can move a rook or move the queen to protect a rook but the other rook is bye-bye and if you are lucky a7 pawn is also taken. The balance is 1 bishop saced but a rook and 3 pawns taken.
