How do you change this for the independent practice to be online? Plus the group work? I am teaching hybrid and everything needs to be done online.

Hey there Lori.... If I had to teach this lesson online, I would create breakout rooms in Zoom. Yes, this definitely takes practice and also clear directions. I would create Google Slides for EACH GROUP on the same slide deck. You would tell each group of students which pages of the slide deck they are working on and they can work on those sentences right on the deck all at the same time in a breakout room. Again, definitely takes practice and also solid instruction and practice to teach the students how to do it, but it works. I actually did this on another one of my YT videos where I was teaching a live lesson to a group of boys. They were ALL working on the same google slide deck doing word work, so I could actually SEE what they were all doing at the same time. It works... However, as I said, it takes practice and very clear and concise directions and modeling for the students...but they will get it. Check out that video, it could help you see how they all work on the same slide deck :) For the independent practice, you can bring the Tab-Its booklet into a google slide deck as well and assign each student their own copy in Google classroom and they can work on that part independently. Hope this helps a bit :)

Love this. Can you share the font you used to make the sentence strips? I've been struggling to find a font that makes the correct formation of all letters. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your ideas and examples of your lessons. I’m always looking for ways to improve and incorporate new strategies in my classroom. Do you include a list of the mentor texts you use with each of your grammar lessons in the Mega Bundle?
