Teaching your students the 6 types of syllables does not have to be a daunting task. Today we will focus on the the remaining 4 types of syllables to teach to your students. Today's video will focus on magic "e" syllables, r-controlled syllables, vowel team syllables, and final consonant+LE syllables. If you haven't had a chance to see Video 1 on types of syllables, I would check that video out first as we are working on the foundation of teaching syllable division and types of syllables. I hope you find this video helpful in learning how to teach these skills and strategies to your students.

Thank you so much! Your vedio is very helpful. Now I can teach my 2nd graders syllables divisions:) Can I ask you one question? I have seen that piano is 3 syllables [pi-a-no]. Is there any rules about this one? I thought [pia-no] was correct one.

In American Cambridge Dictionary, i see: They write the word 'menu' is /ˈmen.ju/, but i hear many native American speakers say /ˈme.nju/ They write the word 'city' is /ˈsɪt̬·i/, but i hear many native American speakers say /ˈsɪ.t̬i/ /ˈmen.ju/ and /ˈme.nju/, which is correct? Is there any different when speaking these two syllable types. /ˈsɪt̬·i/ and /ˈsɪ.t̬i/, which is correct? Is there any different when speaking these two syllable types. Thanks!
