Well her father was highly intelligent but even in college today it's hard to find a student write so well. I'm suspect it's not entirely her own writing. There are probably copies of it in her own handwriting, so that would end that discussion.

Donu Duty lmao she wrote her diary in dutch all of the books aren’t her actual writing but she is very very intelligent like any child that pays attention in school no matter what school.
@Irishjay_944 жыл бұрын
This has nothing to do with Anne’s schooling and or testing IQ to deem intelligence; her awareness and gifted knowledge was pure brought on by experience and emotional maturity. She saw things with wonder and her situation caused her to look at things beyond a young persons typical education. She did indeed love literature and learning, especially history; back then reading was enriching and not many aimed for higher education in the 40s. But her writing talent came about due to being cooped up for so long and her diary became a communicative device for Anne to express herself and offload her emotions. It is interesting that the original notebook writings for 1943 were lost after they were caught by the Nazis; we only have Anne’s rewritten entries when she approached it for publication. Who knows how much she wrote and devoted to her diary within that time. If anyone reads the critical edition of Anne’s diaries they will see what I mean. But anyway, Anne certainly was a wonderful person.
@Irishjay_944 жыл бұрын
Lanomia using big words without any reasoning doesn’t deem intelligence, it just means you’re showing off. It was Anne’s awareness and ability to bring the reader into her situation and spirit that shows the level of her depth.

I'm 27 now reading this during the epidemic for perspective. The last time was in sixth grade and damn if it didn't hit so much harder this time. She was so intelligent and gifted and then the abrupt ending and the senselessness of the death of such a precious life, and how she is only one example of that senselessness. Now I understand why this book is so important, and I would say to the younger people, if it doesn't speak to you right now, that's okay, but don't write any book off until you have lived a little. Then come back and you may find it beautiful and helpful, and feel fortunate that you were introduced to it.
@Irishjay_944 жыл бұрын
Laura That was beautifully put. I felt the same way; Anne’s diary really inspired me and changed my life. What a beautiful writer, and her immortal diary still speaks relevance through the ages. She really has lived long after her death, and globally. And I have a strong feeling her spirit is very aware of this fact and probably never would have dreamt such success would have come from a diary she kept as a means for survival and to keep sane through extraordinary circumstances. Sadly, this terrible period happened in our history, and it’s unfortunate Anne’s memory is symbolical of that loss, and who knows what she could have achieved and brought humanity, had she survived. She really was a remarkable person to write such a record that could be described as humanity itself. Her example goes to show: do not judge a whole group of people as one, prejudice or assume. We’re all human, and all Anne wanted was to live the life of her dreams and help the world! Anne Frank is possibly Hitler’s most well known victim, and I believe her voice outshines all mindless hate and ignorance spur that came from Nazism. It feels very much like a spiritual enlightenment, Anne’s story, and how through the actions of genocide we’ve lost someone that could habe truly helped us become better human beings. RIP Anne! We love you x

How good is this young girl at writing? Wow. Her description of the apartment where they all lived in the first hour is virtuosic. It staggers me to think that Anne claims her Sister was even brighter than she was, but perhaps Anne is being a modest younger Sister. It's funny how in-demand Anne was to be a girlfriend to the young men who lived in her district before the war. She must have known how to carry a conversation, I imagine it was electrifying to be in her company. It's sad to think, how such a sweet young girl was locked up in an attic, for so long, unable to contribute to society, all because of her Jewish ancestral heritage. How ironic that being stifled up in that attic allowed to her write a diary that shook the world. Even amidst the most ruthless oppression, a talented individual can leave a lasting impression upon humanity. I can't help but feel, that it wasn't the inferiority that drove Hitler to persecute the jews, but rather a burning hatred of their undeniable, intellectual talents. Every time you listen to this book, you breathe life back into the memory of this darling girl. ילדי כבוד

This book would make a great gift for my nieces. I'm sure overtime it has many many times been given as a gift , as it is second to the bible in a particular category having to do with copies that have been read or translated. I forget the fact I read , about it's popularity . It was an impressive little tidbit though.

What is the name of the person narrating as Anne? Her voice is quite captivating.

I have ONE day to do a huge project on this, and so I must watch one hour of this so that I can even get a GLIMPSE of who she had been back then, so thanks for putting this video up, and even reading this!(I'm watching only an hour, because of the problem that I have only a day to do so..)

Am I the only one that is reading/listening to this purely for recreation? Seems like every comment is a lazy student who couldn't be bothered to do their school work. Kids these days...

You're not the only one, but it is a shame how many people are here because they're too lazy to actually read the book. I'm only here because I don't have a copy of it myself
@holberry4 жыл бұрын
I'm listening to it purely to educate myself on this amazing young girl. Wise beyond her years ♡

I can't sit still long enough to read the book. So my teacher said to watch this. It's seems like almost all the comments are bashing kids that are watching/listening this book. At-least they are here. We're getting at much as we would get if we read it. So I don't see the problem with it.
