This Lingonberry Spice Soap has a rustic chic look that’s perfect for the holidays and beyond. The bars have a white base and activated charcoal pencil lines. To make the top look festive, there are rose hips and dried leaves.
It’s scented with Lingonberry Spice Fragrance Oil, which is a comforting mix of apple, cedarwood, lemon, balsam fir, cinnamon, and mountain air.
Of course, how the soap feels is just as important. The recipe is made with new lingonberry seed oil, which has a silky and lightweight texture on the skin. The soap also features skin-loving shea butter and cocoa butter.
Lingonberry Spice Cold Process Soap Recipe:
5 Pound Mold with Sliding Bottom
Silicone Liner for 5 Pound Wood Mold

I truly love 💘 love love your products and learned by watching your early videos. I have ACD and cringed when you didn't scrape the bowl out properly with a spatula, for the top. I guess I am a product of my generation..... and think all those wonderful oils and such, shouldn't be wasted, regardless. Glad to see you are doing the videos again for the younger oncoming soapers. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. 😊

Please do more videos and tutorials on CP soap using discoloring fragrance oils! I believe this is your first video using one in CP soap. I haven’t been able to find many tutorials or info about how to design soap using a discoloring FO and if there are any designs possible that aren’t just all brown colors. I had no idea you could achieve that light of a color just by adding white! I’d love more info (even in future blog posts) about ways to work with discoloring FOs, especially ways to offset the brown color. But even putting out future tutorials on CP soap with all brown designs would be great too!

Always love when a notification comes from Soap Queen. You always provide such helpful tips. Quick question, how should soap be stored after cure while preventing scent from fading and considering space being an issue?

Could you do a break down video on how to make and measure soap recipes and explain the use of different oils? I am very weary on using the calculator as I don't understand. Thank you

She does have a video on how to design a soap recipe. Also get her books. It’s full of information like the properties of different oils. She uses a scale to measure the weight of the oils and ingredients used. The lye calculator on the Brambleberry site is to calculate how much lye and liquid (water) you need in your recipe. First you would design your recipe and decide what oils you want to use and how much. Then when using the calculator you first select what type of soap you’re making (liquid or solid), what unit of measurement you’re using (grams, ounces, or percentage) and your superfat level which is the amount of excess oils leftover in your recipe that you don’t want turned into soap. Then you enter in how much of each oil is in your recipe. For example if you are using 25 oz each of coconut, palm, olive, and canola then you would set your unit of measurement to ounces and then find the names of the oils on the list and enter “25” in the space next to them. After you press next it will calculate how much lye and water/liquid is needed for the amount of oils you entered. Then when it’s time to make the soap, you’d measure (with a scale) 25 oz each of the aforementioned oils and the amount of lye and water the calculator said and make the soap as usual (ie combine water and lye then add lye water mixture to oils and stick blend). As for the percentage option for the unit of measurement in the lye calculator, that’s used if you designed a recipe based on what percentage of each oil you want (ie 50% coconut 50% olive). So you’d enter how much you want the final batch to weigh (ie 32 oz) and it will calculate how much of each oil correspond to your percentages (ie 16oz coconut, 16oz olive) & amount of lye and liquid needed. This type of measurement is especially useful in recipe design which is often done in percentages. It’s also very useful when you want to resize a batch to make smaller or bigger in which you’d just need to change the total weight of oils and all the other ingredient amounts will change based on that. If you want to test out the lye calculator I recommend viewing the recipe for this soap found in the video description and entering in the values for each oil in the calculator to see if the lye and water calculation matches.

Hi I tried to do a mica line and after I unmolded it was separating where the line was so I rebatched it but I was wondering if I left it to cure for longer wud it end up sticking more and stop coming apart at the joins x
@bramble-berry

If you put too much mica between the layers it can separate, so next time just use a bit less! You still need the soap to touch so it will stick together!

We don't exactly say how much the smaller amount removes but it is less than 1/16th of an inch. That is the largest that our shaver can cut.

Ma'am please show 3 reciepie of Cold Process soap which can be made in hot humid weather conditions. I am requesting this because even the coconut oil and Shea butter are in liquid form in our type of climate. So I request you to please show 3 recipe for hot humid weather type with the desired perfume choice which I should be using. Thanks

You can use any recipe, all the solid butters and oils will get melted anyways. Since it's hot and humid where you live put your soap mold in the freezer to prevent over heating.
