Күн бұрын

This moisturizing recipe is from Bramble Berry CEO and Founder Anne-Marie's book, Milk Soaps. With a generous serving of mango and shea butter to provide skin conditioning, this is a dual-texture and color soap. You can use any milk you like in the recipe.
Find the full recipe and instructions here: bberry.studio/...
The striking design uses a divider to produce even lines. You can make your own divider with clear packing tape and cardboard or use soap-safe pre-made ones.

I love this company! I was told that Brambleberry has top notch supplies so I ordered from them. I had messed up my order and called to get it worked out. They didn’t answer (I didn’t expect them to and I didn’t expect to be called back until after the holiday/weekend), I was called back within the hour and I was helped with the whole process! When I get my supplies and start making some batches I’ll know how their oils and micas and fos work. Thanks Brambleberry 💜

I admit I need to get back to ordering my supplies from there. The lasting quality of their fragrance is incredible. I still have mahogany I made 5 years ago and it still smells just as strong as ever! Any way, Don't know if it really matters in the scheme of her recipe but it just might affect the lye and water amounts slightly because I believe it may be a typo. I wanted to keep this recipe so I plugged it into my gadget thingy I made. Her recipe CANNOT be these percentages. They are slightly off probably due to oversight and the fact she is doing such a good job with her company. This is correct: Coconut 25% Palm 25% Sunflower 20.1% Apricot 10.1% Mango 10.1% Shea 4.9% Castor 4.9% Excuse me for the correction. The lye calculator I made is quite handy for these kinds of things so its easy for me to tell.

I like the recipe but I don’t like the beveller nor the beveled edges that were taken off significantly like that.. Edges are taken off way too much and it looks very weird like that and artificial for such natural soap. I don’t like beveled edges, total waste even if they would be used later (I mean I would say no choice if you take them off so much) and I don’t think they look nicer. When I make soap I want to use the full bar not a part of the bar. The bars look way nicer without the extremely wasteful beveled edges. There’re soapers who never bevel. Myself included!! Why? My customers and I love non-beveled edges. And there’re soap makers who use acrylic molds to get sharp edges for more sophisticated looking bars. I really dislike beveled soap. Extremely wasteful.
