One of the most beautiful voices out there. Her voice is so soothing (reminiscent of Karen Carpenter). Great choice and review. Thanks Harri and Catherine 🌸💐🎄

From 🇨🇦🇨🇦 Anne's 1979 album, "I'll Always Need You" a phenomenal tune with such personal lyrics, and emotional instrumentation, only surpassed by Anne's vocals. Her vocal range could literally open up the heavens, with a blend of power, flexibility, her unique vibrato and her excellent articulation. Written by Randy Goodrum, who also wrote "You Needed Me" for Anne and co wrote Steve Perry's, " Oh Sherrie", this was Number 1 on the Billboard Hot Country. Anne was the first 🇨🇦 Canadian female solo singer to have a Number 1 hit in the US, with her massive hit, "Snowbird." Thanks for enjoying and reacting to Anne with us Handsome Harri ❤❤ Beautiful pick Catherine❤👏👏 Cheers from Canada ❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦

Lovely choice Catherine, Anne was a great singer. She performed barefoot at our local high school. I remember listening to my older brother and sister talk about it, sadly I was too young to see her that early in her career. Thanks to you and Harri, great reaction Harri.

This song was very personal to me. It took me years to get over the broken heart I was left with. A few years later I met my soul mate and best friend and we've now been married 38 years. Heart mended.

Another great Canadian artist. John Lennon went up to her and told her that her version of the Beatles song "You won't see me" was the best cover of any of their songs. Quite a compliment. I love her voice. Great pick. 🧑🎄🌲😊

I grew up with this great Canadian singer. Her biggest hits were in the 70's-80's such as "Snowbird", "What About Me", "Danny's Song", "A Love Song", "He Thinks I Still Care", "You Won't See Me", "You Needed Me", "I Just Fall In Love Again", "Shadows In The Moonlight", "I'm Happy Just To Dance With You", "Daydream Believer" etc.

They played this at the end of the TV show "cold case" when after many, many years they finally solved the case; the body was found and the kids were taking flowers to their mother's grave, and the song fit perfectly.

Anne Murray is one of the greatest singers of that time. So many hit songs in the early to late 70’s and throughout the 80’s. This song was phenomenal. It was first recorded by England Dan (Seals)and John Ford Coley around the same time , but they never released it as a single. They did an amazing job as well, but Anne’s version topped the Country charts.

A Canadian Treasure- her body of work stands on its own! She retired from performing because she felt her voice didn't meet her standards. No auto tune, pitch correction ever used, just natural talent and hard work! Anne is another extremely talented Nova Scotian artist (incldes Hank Snow, Denny Doherty, Myles Goodwyn, Wilf Carter, etc, etc).
