True respect for doing more with less in these very trying times for your customers. You've just acquired another customer.

Just picked up a Gen 3 and have put it through its paces. I’m very pleased with the machine and have posted videos annealing 300 Blackout, 223 REM, 243 Win, 45-70 Govt, and 500 SW. have also done some 9x25 Dillon and 22 Hornet with a special case holder I’ve made. Did a few mods to the machine to have better luck with the 300 Blackout cases. Great machines, keep up the good work!!

I just got the gen 3 machine from my son for Christmas. I love how this thing works and I have just ordered the large wheels to handle magnum size cases. Great job guys!

I received mine about 2 weeks ago with the standard wheels. I've done a few hundred of each in 30-06, 308, 223/556, and 300aac. I will say the wheels that come with it are a little small for 30-06 (they looked like they were going to fall off when dropping onto the second wheel, but they didn't 🙂) and at the same time a little large for the 300aac (heat source was close to the wheel but angled away to protect it). Bottom line, I'm very happy with the purchase and I would buy again if needed, also I don't have any reservations about recommending it to anyone.

Jeff, you are to be commended for taking measures to keep the price down, while actually improving the machine. I haven't had the pleasure of using either version of your machine, but that torch holder on the gen 2 looks like possibly something more fiddly than just using the simple u-bolt clamp that you went with out of necessity from not being able to get hoses. I'm seriously considering getting one of these.

I love my Gen2. I have a thicker hose now that goes straight to a 20lb bottle. From day 1 the catch bin seemed too small to me for whatever reason so I never used it. I catch all my brass on an old cookie sheet or cake pan. Everybody has SOMETHING laying around to catch the brass. If not, you can find something for about $2 at Goodwill. Small batch people probably love it. But I process my brass in fairly large batches so like the bigger pan.

some customer say the tray is too small, some say it's doesn't fit the machine correctly for cases to fall into.. a couple of reasons i decided not to ship trays with machines any more..

Just did about 300 of 7.5x55 GP11 and it worked great! I did have trouble with 7.62x54 rimmed though, it jams up the whole thing on occasion and won't release from the bottom wheel so I had to manually pull each case off the bottom or it would just spin endlessly. I think I can fix that if I can move the bottom wheel a little further out, maybe I'll shoot you an email.

Just a suggestion, but maybe putting some small washers (small enough to provide room for the large rim of your 7.62x54R brass) between the wheels and the front of the cabinet would allow that oversized rim to avoid catching and causing your problems. Dunno if other rimmed brass, such as .30-30 would have the same problem, but probably not since that Russian brass has an almost ridiculously large rim.

Any Ideas on how to adjust the propane canister with the metal bracket up or down to get it centered on the throat of the case being annealed. If you just move the bracket up or down on the body of the canister you will drive yourself crazy trying to get it exactly in the middle of the case.

I am thinking about buying a Gen 3 but I have a couple of questions. .556 and 762x39 shouldn't be an issue. Can the machine handle 7.62x54R? I read it can handle 30-06 but I'm not sure if 54R is bigger or not.

i don't know the case dimensions of that particular case, but the machine will handle up to 50BMG with the correct wheel kit

There is a safety issue to consider.When working on a hard bench surface the propane tank in the simple exhaust pipe clamp is very very easily moved as it sits on 3 small points with no way to stabilize it. A light bump and it slides one way or another. The gen 3 unit itself slides around easily as it lacks even basic rubber feet to help keep it still.As this equipment is often used in reloading rooms processing brass the ease of the lighted torch being knocked around or off the bench with primers and powder are likely in close proximity is a nightmare scenario. The Gen 2 worked as a unit and the torch was solidly mounted to it. That was an elegant and safe design that attracted me to the companies G2. They need to connect the torch somehow with the G3 machine,perhaps a base plate on a hinge that folds down from that side with a stable floorplate that can be tightened once it is positioned correctly?
@Annealeez
@Annealeez 3 жыл бұрын
if you watch the torch vide i made, you'll see it's extremely easy to place the propane bottle in a place out of the way and not bump it.. with that being said.. an open flame in a reloading room with powder and primers is and should be a great concern..
@jared7211
@jared7211 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I was thinking it’s a very bad idea to anneal in the same room as gun powder and primers. At minimum stay 10 feet away.
@Gunners_Mate_Guns
@Gunners_Mate_Guns Жыл бұрын
If you think it's a good idea to have an open flame anywhere near your primers, much less your powder, you really need to rethink this whole reloading hobby.

Just received my 3.0, had a few production related issue, teeth skipping due to misalignment, brass popping out of the deliver tray do to pop rivets being loose,, Not a big issue, easy to fix. Biggest issue. speed controller is in the path of the flame, ended up with 2nd degree burns on my forearm when I went to adjust the speed control, the first time using it. Not a good human interface design.

@@Annealeez you removed half the items that made it great, called it better, and then you charge the same price. Honestly, how much could a u-bolt clamp really cost you? I bet you could buy a pack of 100 for the cost of one extension hose. Zero improvement over a gen 2.
@Annealeez
@Annealeez 2 жыл бұрын
you should do a little more research Phil.. the ubolts are expensive.. but, if you're so unhappy with the machine.. why do you come back here? move on and be done.. the ability to move a bottle and torch around more than the mounted torch is what makes it so much more user friendly..

I don't want to be negative Nancy but you are opening yourself up for a major lawsuit when someone clumsy knocks over the propane tank and burns his/hers house down. Knock on wood hope it never happens but an unmounted propane tank is a hazard. Make the propane clamps, hook onto the housing of the unit and problem solved.
