Viola is the exception that confirms the rule. She shows calm and patient behavior. I have met plenty of huskies and they all have 3 things in common: they are drama queens with little to no recall and love running off somewhere/goofing around regardless of what the owner orders them.

My Siberian Huskie Kali has a massive personality, she talks all the time.... but she doesn't bolt. At least not around me or my girlfriend. She has amazing recall. She gets along with cats, small dogs, etc. We flew my girlfriends mom in when we took a trip to Finland for a week. We refuse to board our dogs and will only take a trip if someone we trust and that they trust is willing to watch them. The only time she's bolted is when we went on our trip. Her mom is convinced she was looking for us. Our other dog, Theo, is a German Shepard, Lab mix. He is super anxious all the time. He doesn't like most men at first. Especially if they don't sit down around him. Once you're in his good favors though... he will protect you till the end.

Both dogs are so absolutely stunningly beautiful…. We had a pack of 4 Huskies… so true… DONT just get a husky bc Viola is so loving and docile. Our 4 were before social media… loving but they killed small animals, escape artists EVERY chance they got… very vocal… so if you want quiet… think again… but they will always be my favorite breed… thank you Viola for being such a beautiful husky!!

I saw a beautiful Husky tonight in the midst of busy, downtown Asheville, NC. He/she was calm, quiet and very well behaved. It was loud and somewhat chaotic, but she walked so calmly on her leash as she navigated the walkways. ❤ Viola and Ocean are just gorgeous!

Owned a few huskies and just by chance my current one is like Viola. Is even a Pinto too except she’s black-and-white. She walks off leash, has a great recall, is very sweet tempered, loves everybody. I really treasure her because she’s very much in 1 million husky.

Excellent points made. Huskies are not for everyone. They require a lot of attention. My girlfriend and I fostered one for a friend who works with a shelter. They ran out of room and she needed to find someone to temporarily foster her while she arranged transportation for her to be moved up North to Ohio. A place where the environment is better suited for her breed. For context, we live in New Orleans. Mid City, Orleans Parish to be exact. Kali was abandoned with no chip or tag. No one ever claimed her. Kali is the 4th husky I've fostered for the shelter. Within the first 3 weeks, we noticed she wasn't much of a bolter. We hadn't really given her much of a chance due to previous experiences. We started working with her on recall training when we would be at the park. A nice big open area that's contained for dogs. She came each time. When she was ready to go, she'd come up to us and walk with us. This is after 30 minutes of her running around and playing with all the other dogs in the park. She also got along with our German Shephard - lab mix. We were planning on finding a play mate for him (another family member for us). They pretty much hung together at the park. No matter what. It goes without saying, that we fell in love with her. She is a great cuddler. She loves to talk (especially early in the morning). She's still a bit mischievous if left to her own device... so we do have to crate her when we go to the grocery store or elsewhere and can't bring them with us. Thankfully, its not too often because New Orleans is a very dog friendly city. Bars would prefer dogs over humans. My friend contacted me to let me know about transportation taking place within a week. I told her not to worry about transporting her. We wanted to keep her. She said she figured it would happen... Haha. But they require a lot of attention. They're worker breeds. They need to run, walk, generally exercise a lot. Her original name was Kelly, but we felt like Kali was more fitting. She also seemed to prefer it.

If you ask internet Randoms or breeders with a clear motivation, they will tell you every husky is like this. Anyone who has owned or lived next to a husky will tell you that's far from true. Gorgeous specimen! My first girl was obnoxious. My second husky is much like Viola, and I know I got lucky.

I owned three Sibes, two at a time. Two of the three were quite as mice which is unusual. The other one more than made up for their quite nature. She was a drama queen who talked a lot and was an incredibly good escape artist. She figured out how to open doors and if I didn't tighten her harness enough she'd escape it by backing out of it. She was a great hunter too. She caught a bird one time and also bagged an eastern cotton tail rabbit.

I had a husky once.... But I didn't choose her, she chose me 💖 we lived in the country and she belonged to the young couple over the paddock...I opened the front door one day and she was laying at my stairs smiling at me 🤗🩷 took her home and she came back the next day and the day after....
