hi friends! WOW! Thank you for all the incredible comments on this video! My heart is SO full knowing it’s helped so many people feel less alone dealing with their own disorder! 🤍 I just wanted to clarify something I realized in watching back my video! In talking about being prescribed medication to help with anxiety disorders I need to emphasize what I said about “no two people’s anxiety disorder is the same!” Just as I said it’s not as simple as just giving anyone and everyone anxiety medications, that does not mean that medication can’t be other people’s saviour where their disorder is concerned! My mom has been on medication my whole life and it’s helped her get her life back, where myself and some of my friends have had horrible reactions to it! Every person with an anxiety disorder diagnosis has to be treated individually and to THEIR own needs. For some that includes medication, others it doesn’t. Just wanted to once again clarify what I said about no two people are the same! 🤍

Not sure if you're a Christian but I know for me the Lord has taken away my anxiety along with my sin! Hope these verses help: Philippians 4:6-7 "6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

I am baffelled that people feel they can discuss someone else's mental health without even knowing them or anything about the disorders. I think you approached this really well and thanks for discussing how disorders and attacks can look completely different from person to person because so many people only know the stereotypical side and then think they can judge or diagnose people. ❤

My anxiety has been with me since kindergarten. I was diagnosed by my therapist with GAD and social anxiety at around 23 years old. I wish I had known sooner rather than later that I had severe anxiety but my therapist actually really helped me find coping mechanisms. I will say the pandemic and staying inside for a year really made my anxiety worse and now I'm working on trying to find new coping mechanisms because I traveled a week ago and my anxiety was so bad. I can't afford to go back to therapy but I hope I can in the future. Thank you for talking about this and talking about the differences between individual anxiety vs the disorder!

Thank you for setting such a good example by talking about this difficult subject with such straightforward integrity. I think what you’re talking about is individual anxiety as I mentioned before and not anxiety disorder. 🤍 anxiety disorder can’t go away or be decreased by physical exercise. Exercising can be a coping mechanism, it’s one of mine. But your disorder won’t stop being a part of your daily life just because of a job change or fitness.

My GAD has disappeared (somehow). It all started with health worries and a full-blown panic attack. I suffered from it 2 and half years and as for now my anxiety is non-exsistent or simply vanished. No more ruminating, no more of these what-if thoughts, no more innere tensions and no more panic attacks - I kinda got rid of the fear of dealing with it. Though I do kinda ask myself if it ain't something else or more than anxiety ?! Did anyone also suffered those mood swings (going from irritability to mild depression - and eventually getting frightened by the idea that it's maybe bipolar and not anxiety) ?

I appreciate you talking about this, but I’d be interested to know where you got 9/10 times the side effects are worse…they help many many people and saying it like “just popping a pill” is kind of offensive to those that take it. That person shouldn’t have been talking about your mental health, and I’m not saying they’re right, but please don’t add to the stigma that meds already have! After years of going to therapy, we finally decided meds would be beneficial for me. So now with meds/therapy combined, my life is loads better! I know meds aren’t for everyone, but it works well for me and many other people
@anniedube
@anniedube 2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Like I said in the video no two people with anxiety are the same. Trigger-wise, manifestation-wise, treatment-wise or any other way! Medication was my moms saving Grace, for me they made me react horribly. They saved my best friends dad’s life, they ruined one of my other friends life. So to say “well if nothing else works there are meds” as if it’s that simple for every single person is not true and shouldn’t be thought about that way. Each person diagnosed needs a treatment specific to them, if that’s medication great. If it isn’t that’s okay too. But to talk about medication like it’s a magical fix it powder is wrong. But no, I’m not saying it CANT work for other people and my apologies if that’s how I came across.

💡Check out the book on CPTSD by Peter Walker. Even if it doesn't fit your diagnostic, he had great and original techniques to reduce anxiety!

beware of techniques. most are driven by ignorance. magical thinking. diminishing anxiety requires gaining the knowledge required to debunk the false beliefs you have that are creating the anxiety. not some silly technique.

Thanks for sharing this. We love you so much. Forget about those who talked about you. They are simply jalous. But it's their problem. Stay blessed in Jesus-Christ'sName.

I know that you don't believe in a cure, but I hope that you stay open minded to the possibility of one. The limitations that exist are the ones that we place on ourselves. I hope that I didn't offend you with my opinion. I mean no harm.

I know you don’t mean any harm by your comment but what you’re doing I suspect unintentionally, is invalidating a mental illness. The limitations aren’t created by me, they’re created by the disorder I’m diagnosed with and that affects my brain. Like I said it’s the same thing as telling someone with autism they can cure their disability if they just believe there is one. Please be mindful x
