The virtue-signaling here in the blogs is really pathetic. Get over it, people. There's NOTHING wrong with this...btw the Indians in this are REAL Indians that WALT had in the park in Frontierland to entertain people. White dude who honored these people and gave them a spot to display their culture long before all the self-righteous pc people arrived. This is not offensive...then or now. It's ANNETTE...the woman was incapable of being 'offensive'

Does that include the very pale blonde in the skit? You’re really stretching to try and justify this offensive act.

So sorry to hear that. She will always be America's and Disney's sweetheart. I think her age must be around 65 or so.

@LoreneFaith Oh, not at all! It was a different era. Silly more than offensive. We look back on those times with great fondness, ignoring what it was really like. We remember the parts we liked. Thank you for posting this. I'd never seen it before, tho I was of her era. YT helps us remember! (my comment was about how they never seem to have native americans fill the roles. Once you notice that, it's kinda funny! (unless...)

@jondoe8889 It was a different time. It is strange to look back and see Whites acting as Indians or Whites in black face pretending to be Black. I am very glad that has changed. I agree, despite the injustices of the past, these shows in their innocence are very entertaining. Thank you for your comment.

I don't find anything offensive it was family tv! don 't like it change the channel

Unlike a situation with black face which is mocking of black people, something like this does show an actual interest in Native culture. Is it accurate? No, but it's not supposed to be. It's lighthearted and fun. We need more entertainment like this.

@jondoe8889 I know, it is not politically correct at all by today's standards. I hope I do not offend by showing clip. I love Annette. It was a different time.

This is excruciating. And if I'd seen it when it was on TV in the early '60s when I was a little kid, I would still have thought so.

@@toyman81 It's not just the tacky, phony "Indianisms" that are aggravating but even more the stupid antics of the two men in the buffalo costume that I dislike. I wouldn't have been amused even 60+ years ago.

@LoreneFaith Actually, she will be 69 this coming October.

I'm sure Native Americans found it moronic. But in the early sixties, political correctness pretty much didn't exist, especially the way America's youth was crazy for Cowboys & Indians. This was family entertainment at its finest in 1960.
