Sadly, it was during the filming of this scene when Annette first began having some issues with her balance, according to her husband. You can see her grabbing and holding on to the handrail on the ramp. But, trouper that she was, she never missed a beat. You will always be remembered with love, Annette. 💖

I saw this at the theater with a bunch of my cousins and some friends when it came out. I always think of this song whenever I think about the movie. Apparently it was the most memorable part. Catchy tune 🎶

I read in this scene Annette noticed her legs did not feel right coming down that ramp. It was the beginning of her ms. She seemed so happy then. I hold to my Faith, she is just fine in God's Hands. This scene is great. )

@megamanmaniac Be sure to buy the DVD to support the movie and her. If enough support is shown for this by sales, they'll rerelease it with special feaetures just like they do all other movies, the one that comes to mind is The Truman Show. It sold enough copies so they re-marketed a special feature DVD with all sorts of cool things. Imagine Back To The Beach with the preview on the DVD, and interviews from the cast, even Pee Wee.

If you look carefully you can see how she does her best not to move her legs to much when she's dancing and how the two guys help her up the ramp and 1:05 when she grabs the rail that tells me that she wasn't doing to well around that time....but i do love how she puts on a smile and toughs it out

Saw Fishbone on the Vans Warp Tour at Action Park. They just came out with Chim Chim’s Bad Ass Revenge, started pouring and they opened with BeerGut. Mud slinging from the start to the end of the show, I’ll never forget it.

I think this wasn't long before Annette was diagnosed with MS, she went on a concert tour with Frankie Avalon in 1989 shortly after this movie was released. She'll be missed!

@megamanmaniac yeah she says in the book it took many takes to film this song...and that she had a hard time dancing and walking down the lifeguard ramp, and kept tripping in the sand...its interesting how you can see when she was talking about holding onto the ramp and dancing at the same time to hold herself up, you can see that in this scene! She's an amazing woman and a beautiful actress! :) WE LOVE YOU ANNETTE!

@rickysbestgirl She also complained about dizziness. She hid it from everyone for a long time, even when she was diagnosed with MS. Rumors started that she was an alcoholic. Her Father told her that if she came out and told everyone, it would help others who had the illness deal with it.
