If I recall... Gabriel, aka his pilot singing voice supposedly BASED his alastor voice on his performance, so basically... They got the person they wanted from the start... Wonder if they succeeded in getting Weird Al and Mark Hamill to voice Lucifer and Vox respectively... I listened to one of his songs and although he sounds great, it doesn’t scream „Vox“ to me but his voice will probably get altered with some effects so I‘m not all that worried. However, I’m not sure they got Weird Al as Lucifer since he’s a Christian, but we’ll have to see I guess.

PSA: Alastor's voice was based on this song, but _not_ this version with Talai, Alastor's current voice actor. The voice was based on the original performance by Donald Craig in 1982, and this is a cover that was released _after_ Alastor was conceived. I felt the need to clarify this, as there is some misinformation going around that Amir Talai was the original guy who sang it in 1982, even though he was 5 years old back then.

Anyone else here because your a Hazbin Hotel fan and you finally got the cast list and saw that Amir Talai is the new voice of Alastor? While I'm gutted again that we've got the confirmation of all of the pilot voice actors not being on the show, this honestly genuily cheered me up and got me hopeful. He will be amazing as Alastor and I can see why he got the part. I will miss Ed and the rest of the original cast, but they will always be the pilot voices who helped kick off this amazing show. I know the new official voices will be amazing and do a great job and I happily welcome them to the Hazbin fam. Let's enjoy this, guys!

The reason why some of us thought that some of the original pilot cast was staying was because they didn’t make an official announcement on their social media. The actors who did where Angel Dust’s, Niffty’s, Cherri Bomb’s, Sir Pentious’, the Egg Bois, Charlie’s singing voice and Alastor’s singing voice.

As someone who watched the Hazbin Hotel pilot when it first came out (I was 11 when it first came out), and already watched the entire first season of the new Hazbin Hotel, I can confirm that Amir did an _outstanding_ job voicing Alastor!!! I'll miss all the old voice actors in the pilot, but the new voice actors are doing amazing!!!! (Also, in this video, I'm surprised Amir can just run around to different areas and talk to people and run back to the mic ON TIME and can continue singing without being out of breath or forgetting the lines or anything! He truly is outstanding and he was a good pick for Alastor!)
