Man, I loved his music, his voice, his guitar playing. I can't listen to any of his songs anymore though because they bring up so many sad memories of a person I miss terrible. 😢😢💔💔

I used to feel that way also, but Ive come to realize he gave us his music to rejoice in the world and nature. Now that politics has brought so much hatred and division in our country and others, I found myself drawn toward his music again and find solace, calmness and peace in listening to his music, his gift to us. I enclurage anyone who has decided not to listen to his music due to sadness, revisit his music and feel the uplifting peace he sings about.

Me too, my husband played John Denver's cassettes when we drove on our road trips, we alternating between California, and The White Mountains of Northern Arizona.

I understand that, because as much as I love air supply, I can not listen to their music anymore, cause my fiance would sing those songs to me and he was murdered, so I can not listen to them anymore cause it would tear me up to much now and I just can't handle that.

As a long time, fan of John Denver and a flight instructor, airline pilot, instructor pilot… There is very little doubt that John Denver did not kill himself in that airplane. John Denver crashed an experimental airplane (Long-Ez) while trying to switch fuel tanks. I met John and his son Zack in Aspen about 1980, my best friend lived in Aspen and was a pilot and knew John As a friend. I grew up in Colorado and Rocky Mountain high is our most favorite song for the local people who grew up there… I still love his music🎶❤

There was one, he was an extremely aggressive alcoholic, Annie will tell you, would you want to stay with anyone if you were innocent of what his puny warped little mind accused you of and took a chain saw to your marriage bed? I loved his music don't get me wrong but he had some major demons.

4:39 John Denver was never a member of Peter, Paul and Mary. He replaced Chad Mitchell in the Chad Mitchell Trio, but that group wasn’t mentioned here.

The photos at 1:59, 6:12 and 12:50 are not John Denver but are of a J.D. impersonator (possibly Ted Vigil or Rick Schuler).

Some of the photos in this video are inaccurate...the plane wreck at the start is not his plane, there are impersonator or even AI photos that seem to be John. Denver's body was not wholly floating next to the plane wreck. His body was recovered in parts. Get your facts right before posting...and where is the confirmation of what rumour? Most people do not think that John crashed the plane on purpose! I think it is garbage to assume Annie never married or had a boyfriend because of John.

I'll bet that a major reason that Annie never remarried is that John is just too tough an act to follow. Who could she have married that would have measured up to John ? That's often the case with women who marry exceptional men. How do you replace such a man ? Even tho he cheated on her, she was still JOHN DENVER'S wife, not John Cleveland's wife, or John Boise's wife. Who could she find to "measure up" ? Besides, she had more than enough money from the divorce to have a comfortable life. And she had the kids to raise. They were 8 and 6 when they divorced.

I can tell you what happened; the Canard wing on front of the Very Easy broke off as did many Very Easy aircraft, a friend of mine dies that way, it was caught on video. he wasn.t doing any maneuvers he was on final approach, and short of the runway the canard came off and it took a nose dive violently.

not true,not even close--he was doing touch and goes --he forgot to turn on the fuel valve which was located over his shoulder--almost all the fuel valves on the long -ez were located on the center console--he ran out of fuel--he was at low elevation and probably in a panic he was trying to turn the valve on and he push the stick with his leg and cause the nose to go up and caused a stall--he hit the water hard ripping his head off his body and a few other body parts--all this info is in the official accident report--stop making up fake stories ,liar--it is a long -ez,not very easy

John Denver deserved better than this garbage video. Echoing earlier comments about the numerous inaccuracies throughout this video. I got as far as the 5:44 mark of this 12:50 video, not even halfway, before I could stand it no longer. This is pathetic. So many inaccuracies; so many pictures that are not John Denver. Here’s a few corrections for you. But really, just do some fact-checking and at least a minimal measure of editing and maybe next time you’ll have something worth watching. I normally don’t criticize when someone makes a mistake or two. But this is absolutely pathetic. 0:30 The plane in the water is not the plane he was flying although you CLEARLY were insinuating it was. 0:47 Not the plane he was flying 0:58 “Henry John Deutschendorf” You got it right the first time but a few seconds later… 1:04 “Henry Don Deutschendorf” 1:48 Not a picture of John Denver 1:59 Not a picture of John Denver 4:42 Insinuating that John Denver had been a member of Peter, Paul, and Mary: “By 1969 Denver had already left the group to go out on his own.” He was never a part of PPM. 5:08 “Rocky Mountain High”, a song he wrote, is now the State Song of Colorado.” No. It is one of the State songs of Colorado. 5:14 Another pic of another plane that was not the one he was flying. 5:22 NO. Search and rescue did not find his body floating near the plane. His body had been badly dismembered, he had even been decapitated, and body parts were all over the place. Read the reports, they are all public record. There was no “body” left to have been floating nearby when search and rescue arrived. Dental pieces were flown to a lab in Colorado for official verification of the body parts they found. Are you just making stuff up as you go along??? All of this information is public record. 5:44 “Denver forgot to refuel the plane.” NO, he did not. He checked the fuel levels in both tanks and had enough fuel, pending being able to switch from one tank to the other during the flight. That is where the fatal flaw occurred, when he was switching from one tank to the other. I’ve done enough homework for you. Go read the reports and find out the rest for yourself. Before finally giving up on this video, I jumped ahead, thinking maybe it gets better or at least has a modicum of accuracy. But, no. I jumped to the 6:12 mark and there, once again, a picture of someone who is NOT John Denver. Worst video I’ve ever seen on KZbin. I say again: John Denver deserved better than this garbage.

He actually started out in the folk music scene in the 60s. He was close friends with Pete Seeger. The father of folk music in my opinion. Google him. He wrote Turn, Turn, Turn. Pete wrote a song for John for his 12 string guitar. It's beautiful and very complex. I have a 12 string and wanted to play the guitar because of him. There are so many inaccuracies here. He makes no mention of his wife and son who are First Peoples. Watch his video at Albert's theater in England so you can hear his truths instead of the jerk's who made this rotten video. He performed all over the world, the Vatican too. It breaks my heart he died. Another annoying thing about the narrator is his voice. And I love how he dreams up conversations with John that he never had in his life. Too bad you can't put more than 1 thumbs down on this stupid video.

Good Lord, you could label a couple of his songs as pop or country if you wanted. He was rejected by the country music establishment, but he wasn't trying to be included with them in the first place. But basically he was a folk singer.

He did not own any oil interests. One time, for some reason, he put a fuel tank on his property in Aspen, but caught so much hell that he had it removed.
