And Annie gave a perfect interpretation, with her look, of the theatricality that Freddie often brought on the scene!

She's no Freddy, but she's still awesome and an icon in the world of rock. I'm glad she didn't just go up there and try to sound like Freddy, she sounded like herself and did an awesome version of one of my favorite songs.

Nobody can or will sound like him and it would not be very smart to try to...She sounds like herself and thats the only right thing to do imo.

This is one of the most beautiful tribute moments in music history. They were SO singing this to Freddie -- I can think of no two singers other than them to do it.......I'm teary-eyed just from watching this clip -- I remember watching it originally and just bawling my eyes out....

Annie Lennox and David Bowie... What a great combination. I'm sure she knew that she couldn't be like Freddie, and she made sure that she had her own touch to how she was singing. These two were at the height of their careers at this point in time. As for the people who are complaining about her makeup and costume... Seriously? Queen, David Bowie and Annie Lennox are three who are well known for being flamboyant over the years. What a great pairing. The energy on that stage is intense.

Annie Lennox & David Bowie Under Pressure. They’re sheer genius together almost a marriage made in heaven. I love ❤️ both of them equally. True talent is hard to find in the present situation we find ourselves in. I just wish I’d had the opportunity to see/hear David perform live but we’ve got great memories of him. Fabulous performance from them both. Perfection. …. Nothing is better than that.

Wow, for got how stunning this performance was!!! ....not many people can upstage David Bowie on stage, but I think Annie Lennox managed to do so - just. Not sure who was more in awe of who - Lennox of Bowie, or Bowie of Lennox. What a pairing......what a duet.......what a song. She, David, and Queen did Freddie proud that night. Classic moment in British pop.

A unique duo, a performance that has gone down in the history of music, and has only over 1 million views. It is a pity that modern youth prefer different (pseudo) music

I'm 22 and stumbled upon this performance last year amid all the Bohemian Rhapsody hype. I was fascinated by the drama of the performance and watched it daily for like a month. There is still good music now but we are so lucky to be able to uncover gems from the past as well, and it is true that I think not so many people go searching for the older stuff, especially as a lot of it is known from cheesy tv adverts, at least in my experience.

Still don't understand why some want to compare vocal skills, trying to decide who gets closer to Freddie Mercury, who is more appropriate to sing his repertoire, etc. Is it really worth it? This performance was amazing back then (I watched it when it first aired)and still is today! The way Annie dressed, the drama, the intensity between them is the real tribute. This is not a talent show and Annie and David were perfect
