⚠️FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T GET TO BIND THE FIRST ONE When you flip the yoyo twice over your throw hand towards the end, it only works if you do it in one motion. (using the momentum of the yoyo, like, don't do it step by step for the last part) and try keeping your throw palm facing down the whole time when you flip. NOW PLEASE COULD SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY I CAN'T BIND THE SECOND TRICK? Like I don't really know what you mean by "going underneath"

do you know that in the third bind if you don't leave the string from your throwhand then it becomes just a ripcord this makes it easier to understand the mechanics of the bind

Hi Ann, I'm a fairly new yoyoer and trying to learn a lot of mounts and binds to have a solid foundation. I'm really interested in learning the first bind but I don't seem to be getting it right... when I try to flick the yoyo over my off hand it only creates a loop around my thumb... I think it may have to do with not enough free string. Out of curiosity how long is your string? I never seem to have as much string anywhere as you do and I can't separate my arms as far once in any mount. Do you think it may be my technique or do you use a very long string? I'm using normal kitty string. Thanks for any advice, Jeremy

I'm having trouble with the very last step on the first bind. I can't seem to get it to go all the way around my wrist to bind. It only goes about half way and I have to catch it palm up about halfway. It still looks cool but I want it to look calculated like its supposed to. Any help?

So you probably won’t see this, Ann. But if anybody has any input I’d appreciate it. I have a yoyofactory Marco that is about a month old been using it daily and I’m finding that with the first bind even though I’m executing it correctly my yo-yo just simply will not bind. It binds every time when I do a normal bind but it won’t snag at all when I do the first trick

I was perfecting the first bind but forgot it had longer string than normal and accidentally smashed my only unresponsive onto the floor... The screw doesn't work anymore now XD

Yeah I usually use the full length string of yoyostringlab strings. I don't like cutting them.

Just got a new Horizon yoyo and have been trying bind 1 but it doesn't seem to be catching at the end to bind back properly. Anyone else had this? Any ideas why?

I only got my first yoyo a week ago so I'm probably not qualified to give out tips (and you might've started hitting this now anyway). But I've just started to hit bind 1 with some consistency. At first I could't get the bind to grab at all. But initially when I was doing the final flip I was almost trying to flip the string from my non throw hand up, over and almost down on top of the yoyo. Now I'm hitting it, I realised when you flip it you do it to sort of float the string directly above the yoyo and gravity does the rest and it seems to bind more regularly. That seems to be the thing that got me over the hump anyways as I haven't changed anything else.
