Annnnnnd Thats A Wrap!

She is Done and fully wrapped! Some of you wanted to know how much the wrap cost me and I spent right around $800 for the wrap and the supplies. I ordered my wrap from Metro Restyling (www.metrorestyling.com/). Overall for a DIY Wrap job for my very first time wrapping a car I am more than pleased with the outcome of the car! it looks entirely different fully reassembled and I AM IN LOVE! Going to be doing this to the BRZ in the near future so more wrapping videos to come at a later date!

I'm going to be honest man you've inspired me to get some of this car wrapped, mainly just to protect it from the damage,if u think about it... $800 isn't too bad, if you consider that I think a lot of places that you go to would def. charge thousands, BTW dude I wish I would have known that you bought Black Metallic to wrap your low pro spoiler... I have my crystal black silica Low Pro spoiler just sitting here with all the clips, taking up space dude, I would have totally sent it out to u... oh well, you got the job done! Good job man

Those of us with wrb sti's with gold BBS wheels are unhappy that you have left the club. And a side note there are several companies that make real carbon fiber overlays for both your door handles and mirrors. RPG makes the mirror covers. I've got a few pieces from them and the quality is great while the pricing is middle of the road between apr/seibon and chinabay crap.

@@Smeedia RPG makes complete mirrors with carbon mounting plates too if you want. They aren't stock style though and they only come in manual adjustment unfortunately. The caps they make look really nice. They cover the whole front of the mirror sans turn signal. I plan on getting some for my 08 down the road sometime.

Smeedia I’m lowered on tanabe springs with 18” gold Advan RZll. Waiting for some dope ebay eyelids that some guy custom makes so I can wrap those along with duraflex racer side skirts and kamanari front lip. Figured I’d practice wrapping those pieces before starting the car. Should be fun!! And hopefully a lot easier due to its box shape lol!!

What clutch kit are you running in the BRZ? I had that issue with my Exedy stage 2 clutch on my '08 WRX with the Verus fork. I can't upload pics, but the clutch spring fingers were higher (and thus overall stack height) than OEM and the Exedy stage 1 clutch kits. At least that's how they were when the Stage 2 kit essentially failed. I installed a Stage 2 when I did the motor build and I'm confident the spring pressure helped the OEM fork fail. Replaced with a Verus fork and noticed the fork hit the bell housing. When I installed the Stage 1, there's no contact at all. I don't remember if the OEM one was contacting with the Stage 2 or not when I first installed it, but it was contacting when it failed as I could see the wear mark in the OEM fork and the OEM fork flexed enough to not allow slippage (or I didn't have enough power for it to slip if it wasn't fully engaged) until I installed the Verus fork. I went almost a full year before the Stage 2 started slipping after the Verus fork was installed. Maybe the Stage 2 kit failed? Again, not sure if it was like that when I first installed it, but the Stage 2 only had like 15,000 miles on it before it was rendered useless.

@@Smeedia Do you know where the fork was contacting? Based off my experience, my guess is Verus designed the clutch for more so stock kits. I would think the stack height would be the same across all stages but the only way to know for sure is to measure. The spring fingers may be the culprit, but that's just a guess at this point.

I'm very interested to know what happened with your billet clutch fitment. I have a 2018 WRX with no issue and also used it on my 2014 BRZ. I did use their new billet knuckle on both when installing.

I used it as much as possible but some areas like door jams and seams I did not think about it, you'd never see any cut lines unless you pulled every trim panel off. But 1st one is always the lesrning one 😅 now I know for thr BRZ when I do that one
