Can I Wrap A Car With No Experience?

So let me start off by saying I have zero experience with Wrap but I don't want to spend $3000 to have someone else wrap my car. For those who have seen the smaller wrap I did before you know how little patience I have for wrapping as well. But with that being said we are going for it and going to DIY wrap the STI to a new color! TBH I am pretty impressed with myself for the few panels that I have already got done!

Glad that I can help! And take your time, dont rush. You are going to get frustrated but don't let that stop you. Order a little extra and make sure to grab the tools I suggested. They will 100% make the job much easier 🙏

Looking good!!!! The little bubbles by the mirror on the passenger front door, you can pop them with your exacto knife and just push the air towards the hole you poked. If you were gonna screw up, it would of course be on the largest piece..... The extra pieces from poor measuring, SAVE THEM!!!! You can use them to do your mirrors, door handles, OEM JDM splash guards, any small pieces you have.

Use painters tape to measure out the panels and other parts! Been wrapping a forester for the past week... (working full time job as well) and also do the panels first what you won’t use and or need can be used for a door!!

Make sure you look up the temperature at which the vinyl loses its "memory" especially the door cups. Also don't be afraid to do use multiple pieces. Some stuff you have to do inlays for but there's other things you can get away with by doing them in pieces

Being honest, I was initially disappointed cuz EVERYBODY WHERE I LIVE owns "destroyer gray" or is wrapping this color. But then as you did the work...I gotta admit it looks good and will pull the wheel color in well as well. ::Slow clap:: I DO think this color is getting it's time in the sun like Tiffany's Blue did a few years ago. Good work on the wrap. I've weakly considered wrapping my hood, roof, and trunk simply cuz the Subaru paint is SO thin and chips horribly from road debris here in Colorado. Smeedia to their credit Premium Auto Styling makes an amazing product and no matter how bad you messed it up you could remove it and zap it with heat and it’d be back to brand new. But trying to wrap such a small little thing like a tail-light and doing so while it’s on the car is a PITA because you can’t stretch the vinyl tight enough. Reminds me of trying to vinyl wrap the wing mirrors on my first car back in high school ..... *shudder* 😂
