Great video liked and shared. A lot of "beginners guides" assume a basic knowledge of the game so end up being very confusing for actual beginners, so it's great to finally find one that just plays the tutorial and talks about the thought process behind each step. Great work looking forward to diving in to the rest of the series.

You're wrong about laying down lumberjack huts. The percentage is how effective the building will be. The tree icon shows how many trees must be planted for 100% effectiveness. Notice that wooded areas show almost no trees need planted while grassy areas show many trees need planted.

That was my understanding too! I must have misspoke. They should plant trees to make up for low efficiency if possible. Thanks for clarifying that!

Thanks for the video. Very interesting and helpful. I am struggling along as l am playing on the PS5 so the controls are different. For example it is x for select and square for activate (throw dynamite or giving fish) and the controls to speed up etc. isnt permanently on the screen. You have to click options to bring up a dialogue box. There also isn't a pause button l don't think.

OK correction the FF and pause button has now appeared on the screen top left. Everything I'd packed away or in different places Down arrow is ship menu L2 is tools R2 is construction. Triangle is management. This is going to be hard work l think!

You are so welcome! Yeah, pausing isn't really useful except to take a break as you can't do anything paused. Maybe try going to the options menu to pause kind of?

Very relaxed beginner walkthrough! Certainly does help one starting out; I‘m just not sure whether I actually enjoy _playing_ the game. Watching it is fun, but so far it‘s been a bit boring…

It might be something for a quest? The game might want you to adjust something in there for a tutorial or slot in an item? It could also be a bug...

Yeah, same question. It's present in half your video as well but we never got to why. :) You say at 33:18 that it shows what you have selected but that's not it (otherwise it would do that with everything you select); that's the Target arrow but why does it keep pointing at the Trade Post?? AAHHH!

Ok, I made it to La Isla and the same thing happened again. I *think* that sometimes there's an overarching, "umbrella" goal that is only considered complete when all the individual goals are done, and the arrow remains until it is. It's annoying, but at least it goes away eventually.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong but my saw mill isn't delivery timber to the warehouse even with green linked roads

That is odd! Is it full? Do you have workers in both places? Are there trees for sawmill to work with?

OK I'm confused it's gone wrong. I have copied what you have done. More or less putting the first warehouse for the timber where you did. I put the fishery where you did. And it went wrong. Your fishery automatically linked up with that warehouse. Mine didn't. I waa told l need to build another warehouse near the fishery.

Try building a road to connect them!
