I just signed up for your membership group. I will have to give it a month at a time. I watch my granddaughters after school and also check in on my Mom. I am officially a member of the Sandwich Generation. However. I really want to learn to free motion quilting. I will start by watching your videos, using your tips and practice, practice, practice. Oh, can’t wait for you to move into the studio and find fabrics you have stashed away that you had forgotten. I have started my craft room destash and gifting lots of fabric to local charities, I have far to much and wish to help others starting out. by getting excited when they come across fabric treasures at a thrift store like I once did Here’s to 2025

Miriam, you are an amazing human. This year has been extremely tough on me and whether you meant to or not, have been a bright light in my world. I know that I can always escape to my quilting world by watching your videos and you have stepped in and save me from a complete breakdown more than once. Congratulations on the growth of your channel. I love all of your videos. You are an excellent teacher. I am thinking of purchasing a Juki the 2010Q after watching your videos. I have read on line the concern over the 1/4 inch foot. Do you feel it comes with an adequate foot or do I need to think about finding it after market. I would love a class on thread. Miriam thank you so much for all you have taught me this year , enjoyed all you have shared with us . Look forward to 2025 . I am very silly I have just made a bigggish dog quilt . For my so and daughter in laws dog . I used the 595 spray , thought it would nicely stick down starting to quilt with my walking foot trying to be clever , mmm I turned the quilt and went the opposite way to the centre , but it has a very silly thing to do as the centre has gathered . First I don’t think the spray was enough maybe , as the centre seemed 😂😂wawaty Iloose and gathered as no where for the backing to go , so it looks like I am going to have to unpick it all . A bit frustrating . So I could do with you here , to advise me aon this basting , I I always go to the king arm quilter . So I must definitely start practising . Shane as it was going so well . Never mind things sent to try us xx. Happy Christmas again , I know you’re in a different time to us , so maybe it’s Christmas Day already for you . We are in the Uk I think you said you were Canada . I have family in Ontario . But never been myself .

Miriam is based in the US. Go look for her video on glue basting using Elmer's School Glue. It has made an amazing change in my attitude and ability to baste my quilts. If you are frustrated with basting, you really need to try it!

I’d also encourage you to see Miriam’s glue basting video. As soon as I came across that video, I used it on 2 quilts with success and alleviated the frustration (and fumes) of basting spray. It’s a game changer. Miriam also has a video on basting with a glue stick! I used that on a small project with success. I’ve been a fan and follower of Miriam since the spring of 2024 when I saw her video!!

Yes, but I do have it set up that the system will send out a reminder email that the payment will be charged again. So if you decided you don’t want to continue, you can easily go into your account and cancel the subscription! 🤓

I’m excited to be starting my glue basting journey. I have purchased my glue. 3 quilts are rumbling around in my brain. One with squares that my mother embroidered as a child. She doesn’t know what I’m up to. And one of the others is a Dresden plate made on old feed sacks. The color choices are horrible, but I’m sure that my paternal greats did what they could with what they had. I think it was made then torn apart by the threads and stitches around the edges. Too many projects in my head! I have been telling others about the glue basting process, my long arm friend, and a random lady I was talking to in a waiting room. Enjoy your time off! 🖖💙
