Because one of the obligations a management company generally has is that they HAVE to debut an idol within a certain time period or the idol can walk away or sign with a new management company and owes them no reimbursement for training costs. By debuting “a group”, EVEN if only one of the members is ever promoted, featured or showcased as long as the other girls debuted and are technically “members” of an active group the companies have met that portion of the contract. It’s rare but there are actually former idols who have mentioned that they have been released by some management companies because they weren’t able to debut them, whether it be they were focusing their efforts on other groups or artists at the time, didn’t have the funds or simply didn’t have a group with a concept they would fit at the time.

I hope she can find her way again as a dance teacher or a youtuber tbh, it takes a lot of courage to try so many times without giving up! So I would probably get sick after days of 12-14 hours of dance practice in a row. And of course there's the look aspect, if you're not insanely pretty you won't make it no matter how talented you are, and even in Jinsil's case you can be pretty and talented and still not make it unless you have a lot of luck.

Haha, given PF's history, it's extremely fitting that she'd end up working with Pink Fantasy in SOME capacity :D Is Moontrue her dancer stage name? The other choreographer is Peacock for both songs Moontrue is credited for, and i think they work with the group still. Debuting a 30 year old is not something companies usually want to do, if this group is supposed to be kinda permanent, it seems the industry is afraid of people showing that they are indeed human and can age. Pink Fantasy themselves re-debuted Aina, who was 29 at the time, and she had to give up activity a year or so later due to developing pain in the limbs. It stands to reason that the "hidden member" is likely also around that age, but she's not going anywhere, i think. Pursuing idol's career? Mhm i happen to know someone who is crazy pretty, insanely good dancer, sings, secretly plays several instruments, composes, produces, is multilingual, has no trouble handling a lot of fans, and was scouted by agencies a number of times; but she always thought it's not worth it, not for the risks involved, crazy amount of work and mediocre prospects.

I appreciate the effort but I first didn't realize it until I read your comment, even tho I AM German myself lol. Thx for telling me! At first I very much thought that it was a different way of writing a number, like the 'hexagon' thing(?). I would just guess to try to be popular and to get the public to talk about them, because German is for some reason (I know 1930s to 1940s VERY ungly stuff...) extremely popular on the internet. {I know that (we're "popular") because even tho I myself usually thing about the things from 80 years ago, but then the internet also reminds me, no worries I can deal with it very good. :D (it's an emotional mix of: sadness, hate, a sprinkle of embarrassment [the kind were you almost want to scream because you can't understand how... much stupidity you have to have, just from hunger, homelessness, poor(-ness). Basically you know their past but you still can't understand how incredibly hateful you have to feel for those things to end up with these unforgettable things], and last but not least confusion for their ways with dealing with depression.) Like: wtf just *how* can you tor.ture others and can be like "nope that's perfectly fine". Oh dear I *don't*, never ever, not in infinite, like them. (-> they upset me a lot) Just call them pigs, they deserve it so so so... so much xD.} Therefore I guess that if someone said "oh that's German", then their group has a chance of becoming famous, as a consequence because people are talking about them. :)

Here’s a fun theory to think about: what if during Scream era the masked dancer that was in Handong’s place was a different trainee every stage performance and that’s why everyone thinks she’s a different person. Cause each girl IS and that Scream era was their test to see if they’re prepared to debut? Just something fun y’all free to add your own or even theories from other eras too!❤️🔥

I LOVE your content. With the exception of the last coincidence, you actually do k-pop content no one else is doing or even thinks about. Like, how the heck do you get the idea to do this? I just feel like most people do videos about k-pop on things I already knew about, but I actually learn new stuff all the time with yours. You're awesome.

For every kpop idol who is successful, there are 100 kpop idols who have an unstable career, low income, dismal work conditions and uncertain prospects. Even those who are successful can be plagued by sasaengs, paparazzi, and the mental issues that come from being on the spotlight. Most kpop idols are actually much better off having a stable backup dancer career and enjoying a healthy and normal lifestyle. They may even be able to keep a day job that will sustain them once they retire.

Jinsil seems like a kind, savvy, and hard working woman. it’s really a shame she had that streak of being in girl groups that kept disbanding, she seems like an amazing dancer and my heart aches for her to have success as an idol in the spotlight. like seriously, imagine spending your prime years (a kpop idols prime years tend to be 16-30) in a cycle of excitement and hope then being let down time and time again with each recruitment and then subsequent disbandment. after all of that, by now, you are “ToO oLd” to be a kpop idol. I’d feel like my “chance” was wasted. I hope she is doing well and has an abundant life. I really wish things would change for ageism in kpop.

FIGHTING JINSIL, she can be a dance teacher or a dancer or a choreographer or work in those idol academies for kids I believe in her
@magicalgirlmelanie3 жыл бұрын
I worked for Disney as a performer for 8 years. But before that, I auditioned year after year and was told I would never get it. Some days I really regretted not just giving up on my dream- especially when I knew even if I got it it very well could be bad for me. That's what attracts me so much to this ugly backside of the music we all enjoy so much. I see myself in these girls and I want to root for them and cry for them at the same time. I'm sure they know the same- no matter how much they want to be idols that ultimately it could be terrible for them too. Even though I did get the job eventually- when I really looked at it it wasn't because I worked harder, or wanted it more, or that I was more talented. I got lucky. And that was a hard reality to accept, especially when the job ended up being a source of trauma down the road. I think Jinsil is really admirable, and this video was really respectful. I hope she sees it and feels the same way too. I'm lucky now that I am in a position where I feel like all those tears and hard work have payed off- I hope she can see this video and feel the same way. I'd follow her journey now 100%. I'm glad her story is being told!

@BleachBlue043 жыл бұрын
“It makes no sense to close off these opportunities based off of age.” Unfortunately for a lot of entertainment industries, it makes sense because it all boils down to one thing: Pedophilia. Look at the show that formed Twice, Sixteen. Watch that show and see how every underage person on that show was sexualized. The “pink Lamborghini” performance was evidence enough. Jinsil is so freaking gorgeous STILL but you wouldn’t be able to tell she’s 30 until you look at her profile like 🤢 YG 🤢 did. It’s disappointing because she’s just as talented as many idols who have “made it”. But it doesn’t matter about talent in this disgusting industry…
