Al, you’re a bloody legend for not just suggesting this but actually doing it. Okay your honed riding skills (not from BSB but BBB track events 😆) put the boys with their toys to shame! Maybe rather than wasting their money on slicks, tyre warmers and trick parts they should invest in a KTM confectionary dispenser. Thanks again 44Teeth for feeding us with this real world content 😎

Probably gonna be a whole bunch of "Ducatistas" with all the carbon body, titanium bits n carbon wheels. I've noticed that 99% of the folks who show off n brag about all the weight saving bits n aero on their bikes r the worst on track. They also happen to be the ones that rely more on the electronics saving them than honing one's own skill. There's gonna be a random dude on a raggity old S RAD with bits hanging/fallen off who's gonna come in, put out some mental laptimes n go home.

Passed many an R1 and Ducati ridden by guys who couldn’t get anywhere near their bikes limit, plus a few who went clean past it and buried themselves in kitty litter. Ok it was a Moriwanki Kwack, but he did race a CB1100R back in my Strine home cuntry. Attended endurance race at RAF West Raynham in `81 where one of those CB lumps won. As an All-road biker (Honda Transalp / Africa Twin) I've always wondered what the point is of putting the knee down in turns. We're taught to keep appendages on board at all times, whatever happens. Putting out a leg to break a fall especially at higher speed, will guarantee a (serious) injury. Better to fall over and skid (you and the bike will separate immediately), than to have your leg crushed under the bike and possibly getting tangled in a wheel. Moto cross riders do put out a leg, but only when travelling slow and their bikes are relatively light compared to 600-1200 CC all-road motorcycles. Anyways, I've gone in to bends with my Transalp where the bike has leaned over so far that the edge of the sole of my boot scraped the tarmac, and the Transalp is a high bike. I estimate it at 60 degrees. But did that all with my legs and feet firmly clamped against the frame of the bike, with my body straight ont he bike, not leaning over.
@ridenm7748
@ridenm7748 2 жыл бұрын
Over time I've realized it isn't necessary on road but it does reduce lean angle by changing the center of gravity. On the right bike with the right ergos it just feels nice. The twist of the wrist books go into it more. Fortnine has a video explaining the merits of doing the opposite of leaning off.

Great video thanks! It looks like you were really able to carry some nice speed through the corners. Not trying to be that guy but I have a 2020 HD Road glide that I built with motor/tune etc is 150 HP/151 so pretty efficient built. I have big sport tire bikes on it and a great suspension, lots braking and weight savings. I love going to the track and hustling it around metrics and now I can think of the arcade game noise as a I pass someone. I usually take the BMW S1000 to the track but the HD is fun. I think folks get a bit angry when they get passed with a big hog :)

Would have been more impressed if he had left the top box and panniers on LOL

I am sure heated grips and adaptive cruise control provided significant advantage over those Gixxer Boys🙂
