Thanks Dear. I followed your recipe and made Uppuma for a Heel Dana. As you said Capsicum gave a good flavour. I used peanuts and some dried plums too. This dish was appreciated by every one. ❤❤

This is Kichdi not Uppuma. Uppu+Maa means Flour (less moisture) with salt taste, should not add other flavours like Turmeric and Garlic but can be added Ginger and green chilly. Most importantly have to add only hot water not plain water. Because, plain water will change it's taste. This is Karnataka style, Tamilnadu style little different. Just sharing this information for original taste. Otherwise you are a great cook.
