Just like most of you, I'm an average rider, and this is my review on riding my 2024 Kawasaki Z900 in real life situations from 2 lane country roads, twisty mountain roads, and good old interstate travel.

Kawasaki keeps it simple. Good. Just like the Suzuki GSX1000S. Very nice choice for street-bikes. Handsome too.

Great video! Picking up one in a few weeks, very excited to not only have my first brand new bike, but it’s my first modern bike. Everything I’ve owned has been pre-2010 so really no ABS, no ride modes, no TC, no TFT, etc…

The going back down the mountain isn't much better than the going up as far as the condition goes. Sorry about that. I remember when that road was in good shape. It was like the Dragon on the weekends! You made the right choice on the bike to ride for it! That type of bike just isn't my cup of tea. I have always been a cruiser rider. And that is all I wanna do. Cruise. Laid back and enjoying the ride. Your bike is way to quick for my liking. I'd be in serious trouble way to soon if I rode one. I will leave those to you and all the younger riders who have the need for speed. Really enjoyed the video and your take on that Kawasaki! Ride and stay safe ABUSA!

I am 55 and the leg angle is a too tight for me but just commuting and joy riding it is ok. Put a little taller windscreen on and it takes some of the blast off. Shad 23 hard bags and can run errands on it and take your rain gear. Love how light and maneuverable.

I was just checking out the specs and I figured out why there's been no red and blue lights. You got the stealth colors. If you had the red and black version, it would look faster. 😊 I like the red trims.

There's a guy on yt - Bike World that has a video called "Chris gets racy with Kawasaki and no limits racing". He's up against some experienced racers on R6's, Speed triples, etc. Shows what a Z can do with basic mods. Sorry don't have a link. Worth watching- the Z kicked butt.

I've got the mirrors from fenrir as well, but after removing the bar end weights and installing the new mirrors I got a big gap. Though everything should've been included in the package. Did u have to order something extra?
@charlesr7615
@charlesr7615 22 күн бұрын
Fenrir makes a cupped adapter for their bar end mirrors. will help with gap between grip and mirrors.

My choice would be the Honda CB1000 R… Just live the stick sound on it… Now the only gripe is that hideous seat that hangs over the tail light… but for what it’s worth the Kawi for like $2-3K less than the CB is the way to go…

Could this be a beginner bike for a big rider? 6ft 320lbs? I'm considering this for cruising, street. Im not a speed demon, but I like knowing its there for passing and I do frequent mountain roads. I would also add a windshield.
@ANONYMOUSBIKERUSA

i would suggest go sit on one to see how it feels. maybe a little cramped…… and beginner rider, the power could be a little much

When you said it's hard to keep the RPMs down during the break in period. I wonder if the ECM can be programmed to limit the RPMs (and even the HP) until the break in mileage is reached.
@MrInfoPhilly
@MrInfoPhilly Ай бұрын
Who cares about limiting rpm, My first bike after 100 miles I was beating on it, no issues 13k miles later
@gregorytubbs3444
@gregorytubbs3444 Ай бұрын
@@MrInfoPhilly good for you. But it only has 13k miles on it so far. The RPM limiting has to do with getting the rings properly seated with the cylinders. There's a good explanation on KZbin but I can't post a link here, it will get deleted.

Brock Davidson tunes bikes and put an H2 on the dyno after less than a 100 miles and wound the snot out of it. Z900 is the same. This dude knows engines. Take it up to below 6k and enjoy.
@TheRealJohnMadden
@TheRealJohnMadden 8 күн бұрын
Realistically, there’s nothing that says you can’t bring the RPMs past those points, it just says don’t keep them there. So, in theory, per Kawi, you can hit 10k if you want to see what the bike has, but do it sparingly. Break-in is kind of a myth though, there’s been several tests done by reputable sources that say nothing bad actually happens. In theory, you want to hit numerous different rev ranges during break-in.

I have the same exact bike same year! I’m at about 1750 miles now. The question I have for you is do you notice the tick on the left top side of the engine at times? Did the stock exhaust kinda bubble when you first started the bike too? I’m just hoping I’m not having engine issues as I’ve picked up on a couple new sounds. Apparently the engines are bullet proof but I’m covered under warranty.
@ANONYMOUSBIKERUSA

no, haven’t heard any tick at all. stock exhaust i don’t remember bc i put the LeoVince on. hope yours is good to go!!!!!

Don't worry about it . Change oil brands. Sometimes it makes a diff. Full syn, Kawi . Good stuff. My '22 is as quiet and tough as they come. Bounced off the rev lim. a thousand times. Enjoy.
