Join me as I put the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 through the paces. Do I have enough skill to push this bike to it's limits? The Z 900 is an amazing sport naked that Kawasaki brings to market as a true top performer in it's class.

After almost 2 years of research and changing my mind about a thousand times I've finally came to the conclusion that the Z900 is my next bike. I have heard almost no real complaints about it and nothing but good things from actual owners. The price to bike ratio can't be beat and they just look damn cool. There's also a healthy aftermarket for them to turn them into whatever you want. Cool vid and I cant wait to join the Z900 family nest year.

Could not ask for a better road to ride and test out the Z900 a bit! Loved watching the speedometer get up in the higher mph zones. I can see how one could get in trouble with the law rather quickly on your bike. Not every officer is out to write a ticket thank goodness. Being able to ride those roads during the low traffic times is quite enjoyable. Keep ripping it and stay safe ABUSA!

As far as I understand trail braking it is more about maintaining the slightly steeper head tube angle that hard braking with the front brake creates than "putting weight on the front contact patch". If you suddenly and completely come off the front brake the front suspension, no longer being compressed by weight transfer to the front, lengthens which increases the turn in radius. So effective trail braking is about keeping just enough front brake to keep your front suspension from rebounding and this means you can follow a tighter line through the corner due to both steeper head tube angle AND more pressure on the front tires contact patch.

I don't know if this is "too powerful", in todays standards in the naked class of sport bikes. This bike is over 465 lbs. ,123 HP with 72 ft-lbs of torque. It must be a nice ride, but it's not over the top by any means.

I understand your perspective, but the full power can never really be properly utilized for street riding. it’s soooooo fun for sure, but even the other bikes you elude too are just getting crazy with the numbers lol. Just picked up my 2024 Z900 today. Traded in my 2023 ZX6R for it. The Z900 is so much more fun to ride. Plenty of torque on tap in any gear, and it is so flickable yet stable at triple digit speeds. Couldn't be happier with the change. Oh, and the quiet stock exhaust doesn't bother me. My ZX6R had an aftermarket slip-on which was so loud, cops could hear me coming from more than a 1/4 mile away, which doesn't bode well for stealthiness. 😂

@@benjaminaydin437 The ZX6R is a fantastic bike, especially if you are going at very high speeds on the highway. The Z900 is a fantastic all-around bike with a lot more torque than the ZX6R and can be ridden all day long with no back or neck pain. So, that is why I traded in my ZX6R for the Z900.

I got my brand new Z900 2024 a few months ago. I traded in my Suzuki GSXS1000 for this Z900. I have two other bikes, a Honda CB500F 2019 and a Kawasaki Z650 2021 that I ride for commuting to work. The Suzuki is too much power for me so I went from 160 or more HP to the Z900 2024 @ 125 HP. I feel the Z900 is much more smooth, brakes and suspension are/is much better than the GSXS1000. I'm a small guy, 5'5", 140 lbs. I still think the Z900 is too much power for me, the Z650 is more than enough for my commuting but for long distances I ride the Z900 and works really good. In the streets the Z900 is too wide and heavy and it is very hard for me to maneuver it, specially between the cars or parking lots. The Z650 & CB500F are very nimble, narrower, easy to maneuver in very tight spaces, but still lots of power to take off. I have modified the rear sprockets on all three bikes to have longer gearing. The Z900 & Z650 have been decat & ECU flashed for better performance. The Z900 has been lowered to get me feet flat on the floor. Also I installed a 41T rear sprocket and a 16T front sprocket, I may try the 17T sprocket, I don't feel much difference going from the 15T stock to 16T.
