I don’t disagree, but the pixel 8 (same price) has a 120hz screen but is a much worse experience due to the constant stuttering the second you leave the home screen. In that price range only the SD gen 2/3 seem to be able to supply 120 frames regardless of the screen. I switched from pixel 8 to iPhone 15 and whilst I preferred android 14 the iPhone hardware is simply superior in every comparable way (battery, signal, thermals, top end performance, consistency of app support) except the screen which was equally as sharp and bright.

Sadly, Android Auto is sh*t and I get audio stuttering issues, so this time I'm going back to iPhone because CarPlay is just way more reliable. Can't seem myself spending thousands on the Pro model but I am going to really miss 120Hz.

@@phixi0n that’s what makes it hard for sure. With iPhones things like CarPlay just work better. I hear social media apps aren’t that good on Android either. I don’t care about FaceTime or iMessage or AirDrop etc. I do however want the things i use daily to work well. CarPlay is a big one. I thought about keeping an old iPhone around just for the car and maybe some social media apps. I don’t think i could just go all in i’d have to ease my way out of the ecosystem.

I tried the S23 Ultra back when it was released but i couldn’t get everything to switch over and the stuff that did was a scrambled mess nothing was in order by date anymore. Apple wants you to buy same phone every year by announcing underwhelming features that wont make much change to user experience such as camera,bezels and some extra buttons on the side !!! Tim cook is the reason why this is happening and I've watch steve jobs documentary where he takes tough decisions and willing to take risks like changing the glass used in display just few months before launch as its easily breakable which shows he prioritises innovation over profit which has made apple what it is today unlike cook who'll take at least 3-4 genrations for it to change!!!

honestly the hype around apple is pretty ridiculous. have the 15 pro and i really hate it. nothing really innovative and by far the most annoying device ever. on android if you turn off updates the phone will not update even when you plug it in to charge. on my 15 pro even when i disabled updates if i plug it in to charge overnight it decides to ignore me having disabled auto updates regardless. only way to not update is by activating low data mode on top of disabling auto updates.

Another great example is when you toggle say bluetooth from the drop menu. if you want to completely turn it off you cant do it within the toggle menu. instead you need to go into the settings to fully turn it off.
