Just a quick one re pulling out those rounded out screws for euro cylinders, sometimes you can just drill a hole through the screwhead with a hardplate drillbit until the screw head falls off, stick the drill in reverse on a low setting, and it picks up the remaining the screw nicely, with a bit of pressure - just comes straight out. Not that risky as the rounded out screw guides the drill anyway

Impressive work as always Andy. It sounded like you had one happy customer after you gained access to his car, no complaints of cost 😉. As for the door closers, I am always having to adjust them at work (we have a lot) because of temperature. Cold affects the hydrolic fluid and they end up not latching, which is a big no on fire doors protecting escape routes. Once the temp warms up a bit then you have to readjust as they slam a bit. Busy week again for you Andy, at least it brings home the cash.

I noticed you used a Yale 89 in replacement for the broken spring nightlatch. personally, i avoid the 89 and 85 like the plague because people either double lock someone in, or more commonly, open the door, double lock it and slam the door shut breaking the flimsy alloy bolt. Far better, in my opinion to use the 88 or 84, to not get call backs, and they are the same price.

Hey Nicholas. It’s and intercom system. So someone would push the buzzer, then the occupier would answer the intercom, push a button that releases the electronic strike to allow entry to the building 👍🏼

Clean the phone holder and windscreen with white vinegar to remove any grease and be careful you don't get caught using the phone whilst driving

Hi. My works comes from many different avenues. I use Checkatrade, Google Maps, Facebook, and get recommendations from previous customers. I also do work for a lot of letting agents, property management companies, air BnB’s etc.

Ultion are garbage I fitted 2 about 6 years ago both failed within a year and Ultion didnt want to know - never fitted one since and like you talk customers out of fitting them and carry one of the failed ones to show them - Apparantly they now sell lubricant at £11 and if you dont use it on the lock as recommended they wont guarantee them.
