Thank you Clive mate yeah I have had this unit in my collection for a while, I thought it would come DCC ready so kept it for a project when I felt confident converting from DC to DCC so pleased and happy it worked out well and such a fun project it was indeed 😀 😊😃

Great vid mate, nice to see you got the conversion done & it works now on DCC. So was there only 2 wires you needed from the chip. I've got some Bachmann DMUs that will need converting when I get my layout completed. ATB Danny & Happy Christmas & A Merry New Year to you. Thank you kev mate as always very much appreciated, oh yes there will be a Christmas video coming out and the conversion was very easy to do just soldered the 2 wires together as mentioned worked well motor red and black soldered to the orange for red and grey for black then insulated the solder joints to stop them shorting out, worked a treat, wishing you and your wife and a very merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 and all the very best for 2025 🎉

Thank you David mate as always very much appreciated, loved converting this from DC to DCC, I used the hornby decoder diagram to help me hard wire an 8 pin decoder straight to the motor and as you see the results were well worth it, I have so many old lima and various locos which I will be converting more often with this very easy way of hard wiring, also enjoyed every minute of this project, wishing you and your family a very merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 all the best for 2025 😊 😀 😃
