FYI: If you have all the shells, but the Skull Shell is still bugged you can still pop the achievement / trophy. With the full collection (minus the skull shell) complete the final boss fight and that should force this to pop!

I did that yesterday after I read that in a forum post, I got the other last 2 shells that I needed besides the skull, and it did NOT come up post credits. I dunno if I needed to have the gun enabled or what. I also already beat the game once, I don’t know if that had anything to do with it though.

Appreciate the thorough guide! By the time I finished the game, was only missing 6 shells. M and S matroshka dolls, F key, doll head, 64 cart and the sock. Thankfully they were all super simple to wrap up. Now I've finally 100%.

Buy the Matryoshka L at Shellfish Desires. Then, you should be able to select Matryoshka L as your shell from the Shell Collection screen inside any Moon Shell. Once selected, it'll have a blue thumbtack next to it. When you exit the Moon Shell, it should automatically be equipped! Then just use the Matryoshka's ability to get the M variant, and use that one's ability to get the S variant.

I cant find a valve for the life of me. Its not in the spot in your video in my game. I remember trying to pick one up and it was a crab inside, and then i never saw one again for the rest of the game. Im trying to get all the achievements now since i just finished it (aside from the buy shell insurance one, bought every single one and never popped)

Ah i found the skull, its on a mob sniper crab dude in the curdled village just oast the village gates door you need to open as a short cut, he doesnt respawn once you kill him but he leaves the skull just sat on the floor, well did for me anyway

It doesn't save for me either sadly, but equipping it as the last shell makes it temporary fill up the shell collection and pop the trophy. I see you commented this a month ago, so if it was bugged and you couldn't pop the trophy, theoretically (if it works now for you like it did just now for me) you should be able to just open the game, put the gun on, and pop the trophy (assuming that finishing the game doesn't restart the game and not allow you to keep exploring and finish collecting stuff..🤞 I just beat the parasite that was on Chitan so I'm almostttt done, so idk if the game resets when you hit the ending or if it lets you keep playing post game without automatically going into new game, which is why I'm finishing these last few trophies before I find out. 😅)

Sadly, the only known location is the one in the video. If you have all the shells, but the Skull Shell is still bugged you can still pop the achievement / trophy. With the full collection (minus the skull shell) complete the final boss fight and that should force this to pop! (This is a known workaround that has fixed the issue for some)

As explained at that timestamp in the video, the Skull should spawn on the hill that I go to before grabbing the coffee mug, but it is currently bugged for a lot of people if you didn’t grab it your first time through the Curdled Village.

All I can say on the switch the creators had some nerve with thw knight helmet, you release a bugged the fuck out glitchy game but you want hollowknight quality jumps, like ive died 5 times already not because I didnt hit the sponge but because I didnt hit the random quality for the velocity it liked and veered me off course 10 times just for the game to glitch out and have me keep respawning on a urchin
