We don't need to do that. It's for skipping animation, if we miss jumps, to skip animation, and the best one of all, cuz it spawns you ahead. I'm speed running it too, we don't need to "de-agro" any enemies

Fun fact you can use the matryoska dolls decoy ability combined with house warming to essentially triple jump, using it to kill voltai early

34:55 there's a huge skip where you use the roll boost from the toilet paper shell into the first bubble this skips like 1 min i dont know if this has been found yet, this lands you at about 36:05

When you go back to town for the prawn shop it's actually quicker to go to upper carcinia, turn around and drop off bridge, right above him. Don't need to time a long jump, mid air attack to bring you down quicker. Love your work 👌🙏

in the boss fight with praya the final scream you can still hit her and it does damage you could probably save about 40 sec there

You can bait pagurus crab boss over a bobbit worm and instantly kill him. Faster than dealing with rng of cliff.

It's forced to use all of your umami charges to power the boat, so you have to rest there anyways to refill them for the fight

How much harder is charged jump with lug nut? Im just thinking of the ATK stat synergy... razor blade exponentially hurts you the higher you push ATK... Would the increased Dmg save enough time to justify? Just a thought. P.s. I've got the jump down now AND the roll. The roll was getting me, i get it now. Super satisfying!!! 👌 🙏❤️

I've been using the jump to long range launch at enemies, wavebreak in, urchin toss, wavebreak into explosion, mantis punch finisher to dodge the usual counter. Opener+finisher combo that looks sick AF 👌💯😎 Phytoplankton+ for 3 Umami each heartkelp pod. Whelk++ with Disco ball for heavy hitting ranged capabilities on top. Or razor and sponge for extra umami regen and easier jumps.

With the fact you get the moon shell in the area before bleached kings room at 36:32 to sell anyway, couldn’t you grab the scrub daddy shell off the tree at the previous one because you can still roll with it? I’m not clued up on the move tech so if there’s an obvious reason why apologies for the dumb comment.

Does the attack speed thingie makes you jump further? Or is it just for the fights? Because it appears it messes with the charged jump timing, and you have to adapt mid game.

I am not quite sure I understand how/why Pagurus dies, I am assuming it clips off the cliff when the game loads/unloads on the exit. But I am not sure why you keep suiciding off the cliff. Either way, the sequence of luring it there and doing what you did took about a minute. Would it not be faster to find/buy a Banana peel, poisoning it and finishing it off with weapons damage?

if you’re referencing the charge attack launch thing. it’s essentially just holding forward and the charge attack at the same time, then pressing jump the moment the lunge starts. it’s a fairly strict timing, but with practice you should be able to get it
