had to grab 2 days in the valley when it was $9.99 in the Kino sale.... the 1st season of Orphan Black rocks, I think they go down hill from there....

the only way to buy anymore is sales, thrift shops, flea markets and garage sales(but only when they don't try to sell used at new prices)

I totally agree. I rarely pay full price anymore unless it’s a Steelbook that’s going to be sold out once it’s gone.

A couple other scifi series I enjoy are Space 1999 (nice shout factory collectIon) and Space Above and Beyond (only hard to find DVD set and unfortunately only one season). UFO by Space 1999 creators is also great but only on DVD and hard to find.

Nice1 Huck 🙂👍That's a massive haul ! I never really gave "Babylon 5" a watch (I don't know why) but I need to remedy that because several people (including one of my old bosses) have told me how good it is and it looks like it should be right up my street ! My favourites (that I've seen) in your haul would be "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", "Doctor Strange", "School of Rock", "Face Off" and "Some Like it Hot". I only own the first two of those but wouldn't mind getting hold of the other three if the price is right ! 🙂

Oh sweet!! Yea I love movie scores. I have a huge playlist of just movie themes on my phone, you know, in case I get in the mood. I have about 100 tracks so far, and growing.

Ya know Huck, I was really eyeing that KONG 76 4K... I have loved that film since I saw it in the theaters as a wee kid.. it was AMAZING to my 8 year old eye balls... and it was PRE- Star Wars!!.. Anyways, I also realized that I had not watched KONG 76 for many years.. I have listened to the John Barry score MANY times, but I hadn't watched the full film in probably more than a decade or maybe even 2. ... So I watched it.. I own one of the versions of the Blu-Ray.... at that point I decided that MOST of my love for KONG 76 is childhood nostalgia and love for the Barry score... Do i REALLY need this on 4K???.. The answer is NO. I sure do like the 4K box art.. but really the film is NOT great and the Blu-Ray is just fine. It makes me sad because as a collector of films that matter to me and that have a place in history for me, the pull is to drop even more $$$$$$ on a nicer box. It is something I have been trying to change in my life by not FORCING the purchase of a 4K that is not really warranted other than a nice new BOX. The movie is still going to be the movie. NOW, this is not true for all films... MANY films I have re-purchased on 4K and will continue to purchase... it all depends on the film. To save myself from re-buying movies that maybe do not deserve a 4K upgrade (in my opinion.. I know it is all subjective) I am going to start re-watching certain films that I question might not call for a 4K upgrade.

I love this conversation. And I hear ya about those nostalgia eyes. I’m buying too many things lately with nostalgia baked in. Masters of the Universe is that for me. Love me some Courteney Cox and He Man. While it’s not a great movie, it does have great moments in it. Umbrella Entertainment is releasing a $55 box set. Yikes!!!
