Yes! Keep testing these AI tools. Your opinion is the one many of us trust most. Thanks!

starting with boilerplate extremely increses the quality of the result

My experience was similar. I ended up saving it in GitHub and opening in cursor to finish the job.

thanks for the video. I just tried this now. Built a pretty impressive website for me, I will do the back end myself (as its n8n/AI project), and I had to update to pro at $9. But for $9 I made a website that looks very nice has some cool functions and saved me over $1,000 and of course only took 2 hours.

If I do not have my code locally on my machine, Thats a HELL NO from me. "No set up required" = They have everything you write.

@@eea8888 you can run it locally....so what? that doesn't mean the code is in my possession on my computer. They push it to a repo on your github under the hood that means they own your code base. No thanks

You just have to be patient and wait. Bolt is very slow - probably because many people are using the product.

Video may have gone a lot different if you had the bolt terminal open instead. Yes it is slow, but remember that it's very new and everyone is using the site at the moment (I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt). What I didn't like outside of that: Not being to add folders and files Not being able to export your code Not knowing for sure what the AI did or what's going on, it needs diffs at least as an option and needs an animation to show if it's still build in the terminal (not just chat section) Lack of common integrations (deployment options, version control, etc.) What I like: They're onto something, it's pretty easy to use and understand It passes as a smart AI tool, don't know if it's because it's more capable than just spitting code It's open source Not overpriced, and a generous free tier I had a better experience and they can only improve from here. Haven't migrated from it, currently using Replit Core if not good old VS Code (Cursor kinda annoys me)

I will encourage you to go back to Cursor and give it another try. It is the best implementation so far of these AI development tools. I would say that this bolt.new still needs some time to cook and I’ll say that at the current state to me is not usable.

I'm actually going through the cursor docs right now. I feel like I need to give it a real try before I totally write it off

les proposition sont simple, le projet bolt est fait pour consommer des token. ajouter juste la persistance avec sqlite, et les problemes sont infini. j'ai abandonné

I have the same oppinion about most of these kind of tools . They seem kind of cool on the outside but they are not useful other than creating some toy application that you wont continue to develop from what random code they tossed out.

you can checkout e2b fragments .. which actually is somewhat a v0 competitor .. but still didnt manage to pull it off as good but its much better than bolt
