I've had my account for about a year (just got the in-game Achievement last night for logging in for a total of 365 days), and have not used my free 5-star Selector. Of the Standard Banners, I currently have E1 Clara, E1 Bailu, E1 Gepard, and E3 Welt, lacking Himeko, Bronya, and Yanqing. Going into the additional 5-star Selector, I'm tempted to pick up Himeko & Bronya from both banners, the former especially for Pure Fiction (though the updated Grit mechanic coming for it might change that). That's where I'm standing right now.

a part of me really wants to get welt because I still don't have him but I really wanna get e4 bronya. It would justify using her over other characters (sparkle, ruan mei, robin) for me. There aren't any other harmony characters that can do a follow up attack so bronya e4 would fit really well into elation path teams.

Bronya for Acheron. I don't have too many Harmony units besides Ruan Mei and Bronya. My Ruan Mei is with Firefly and my Bronya is with Acheron. They work well together.

It's hard to justify getting Bronya when Sunday's banner is released at the same time who is just a better version of her. Although Sunday is for summons, his buffs are still good for hypercarries like Acheron.. (except the energy regen because Acheron has no energy). So if you want a busted support for your Acheron or if you ever pull for more summon units, go for Sunday. I guess this means that if you're choosing between Himeko and Bronya, go for Himeko especially because Pure Fiction will get a new update next version and Himeko is a mainstay in PF so this'll make her even more good than she already is.

Assuming you are not a veteran player the general order of priority with roles is Sustain > Support > Damage. As such the order of priorities are as follows: E0: Gepard > Bronya > Himeko >> Clara E1: Bronya > Clara >> Gepard > Himeko E6: Bronya > Clara > Himeko >> Gepard If however you are missing gamemode all-stars like Herta and Argenti in Pure Fiction for example then units like E0 Himeko shoot to the top of the priority. Assess your account and see what you are missing. Generally getting a new character is better than getting an Eidolon. Your only sustains are Natasha and Lynx? Then pick Gepard ASAP. Want to make a hypercarry comp and Tingyun is your only support? Bronya is a fantastic pick up.

Im a massive fan of Clara's mechanic and playstyle. When i lose my 50/50 i often get her Eidolons until E5 and with this free 5 star selector, finally i can get her E6. Her combination with Yunli will be massive.

Himeko and Clara should be top picks for new players hands down. They both fit into team archetypes that you can grow and develop meta wise and probably wont change drastically. But if you already got one or the other, or want a 3rs option then gepard is another super carry than will keep your team alive for a long time. New players really shouldn't worry about eidolons yet on their 5* imo, focus on developing your roster. Bronya is amazing but she was also part of what made seele so amazing so everyone was recommending her early on.

In my opinion if you're a brand new player pick Clara she will easily be a great investment for your second team or until you get a dps and easily has the best time with the early and late game of this game. She can basically use every support and oh no she encourages you to get Robin the best character in the game. Her real problem is that she kind of has a short shelf life because most likely you are going to replace her but you work well until you do that. Bronya is honestly kind of bait for the early game she's really not that good if you're using four-star dps where she shines is in the late game but the problem is there's blatant power creep of her so this kind of really no point to use her and the fact of the teams that actually want to use her are pretty niche. This is namely because of the fact that Sunday is coming out in the fact that it's pretty much unanimously agreed that the supports are much more important to pull so you should focus on trying to get something better than her. Himeko is there a strong but basically requires you to get fugue to actually make useful early the problem is superbreak is good but himeko can't implant so if something's not weak to fire she kind of just sits then does nothing that why her ratings and pure fiction are so volatile. Her upside is she's easily the strongest when you can get are going the problem is it's so much harder than for somebody like Clara to get going

I would still recommend Gepard for new players. You never know when Aventurine will get more reruns, and Gepard is still a great sustain unit especially for early accounts. As for me, I already have Clara, Gepard, Welt, E1 Bronya, and Himeko. Himeko was from the 300 pulls. I will probably be choosing E1 Clara since I do still use her with Feixiao.

So two considerations I'd like to add: First, consider holding it just in case they add someone new to the standard banner, and the selector ends up helping. That will be a new potential remembrance character, who may be way better than all of these characters. In addition, holding it gives you the advantage that if you get characters by losing 50/50 or standard banner, you can re-prioritize. The ticket apparently lasts through 3.2, just like free Ratio lasted through 2.2. Nothing wrong with waiting, particularly on built accounts. Two, everyone always brings up power creep and how it might affect newer units. You know who is going to get hurt more by power creep than newer units? Older units. Argenti really started to fall off once his single ultimate couldn't kill in PF anymore. I would consider Bronya over Himeko and Clara on newer accounts for this reason. If we're in a world where Yunli E0S1 is struggling with cycle clears and PF scoring, even E6 Clara and E6 Himeko are going to fall behind, and the more Himeko can't proc Herta, the more she falls behind in PF. Himeko and Clara might get carried by new mechanics, but new units will abuse them better (see: Super Break, Exo-Toughness). And waiting to see if new mechanics benefit them is more reason to hold.

Lowkey, Himeko abuses the Exo-toughness mechanic the most out of anyone because it counts as a proc to her talent but this is only if you're running her in a Superbreak team. This is why Fugue is lowkey busted for Himeko.

For me this is going to be tough. I have a decent comp with Bronya + Robin + Bailu (subbing in Tingyun as needed) + dps (usually Rappa) that's gotten me to 70 and about a third of the way through Penacony. I desperately need a fire dps because right now my best pick is Guinafen 😭😭 but I also don't have very good phys dps, like I think my best one is Hanya? I think I'll probably go Clara because I need a tank that isn't TB but still...Himeko also looks really nice.

Bronya is so underrated at e0 she's alright but the good thing is she is a standard character and you most likely will get more copies. Bronyas e2 makes her super good and later if you somehow get e6 she becomes an insanely broken support

Goes like this: Bronya, Himeko and then Clara. Then Bronya e1 IF you have her e0 already otherwise pick Himeko or Clara. Gepard is only good if you have his Lightcone. That makes his shields go above 3600+. At that point you dont need Aventurine but otherwise just ignore Gepard. Welt was interesting in imaginary and Acheron teams as a "sustain". But nowadays he isnt used a lot. Leave Bailu and Yanqing alone unless you really like them for some reason.

Day one player - Himeko and Clara are both great at the beginning and still very useful options in end game. Bronya is so useful early, but requires some speed tuning to be at her best, and I haven't used her in months. Welt remains a solid pick, though I got him late and haven't gotten as much out of him as the other three. Bailu is a perfectly decent healer for early game, but her lack of a cleanse kills her long-term value. I still don't have Gepard :( so I can't weigh in on him. And as for Yanqing... don't pick Yanqing.

Leaks spoilers: If you don't have a 5 star healer you might want to consider bailu. Cuz in the future there's a new character that might need overheals so 2 healer sustains is needed on a team. But it's still a leak so take it with a grain of salt. I just hope this selector is permanent so I can just save it up for when I need it.
