Thanks for the informative and clear overview of chinal naval buildup. Its difficult to find information that isnt overly biased towards one side or the other. Its a rare sight these days.

I think China plans to build at MINIMUM 16 Type 055s -maybe up to 18.

I think that China definitely want to have more than 18 055-level ships. But in reality, China was slowing down building 055s after the first batch. China maybe planning for something more advanced. The recent stealth experimental frigate might give a hint.

You cannot really blame Chinese for things you do. America engages with China because its own national interest not because America was a good-hearted Samaritan

Seems like an honest clear evaluation. Just want to point out that China has 4 aircraft carrier, the one not mentioned is the Chinese mainland. When it goes down, it will be within range of mainland rocket force and its airforce. And also in waters controlled by Chinese sensors, mines and militia.

Aircraft carrier = 1 hypersonic missile. The US government was always inefficient in their military expenditure. This is why it is collapsing.
@olderchin1558
@olderchin1558 7 ай бұрын
@@sergevtorino I would not underestimate the US or the US military. If the fight is in neutral grounds like South America or Micronesia, China won't stand a chance. And even the PLA thinks it will take 5-6 hypersonic missiles to disable or neutralize a US carrier, not sink it. Then again I don't think the PLA will want to sink it. A good sniper will cripple one soldier and then stay to take out the squad.
@sergevtorino
@sergevtorino 7 ай бұрын
@@olderchin1558 The topic is focusing on the Chinese sea. This is the region where the US will most likely confront China. Since, China does not seek world dominance and is not interested in imperialistic wars like the US government. Your assumption about the neutral ground is incorrect. Moreover, the warfare had changed dramatically since the 60s. Aircraft Carriers are relics of the past. 1 missile or drone strike will sink the multibillion dollar carrier with thousands of personnel aboard. Taking into account the proximity of the Chinese territory to the conflict zone (Taiwan Strait), the US has no chance of winning anything. This is the reality. Finally, The US is losing its dominance not just in military strength, but in financial strength too. It cannot just print money in order to recuperate the loses, since the world majority is moving towards dedollarization. Therefore, the US will become much more susceptible to financial struggle in the years ahead.

@@sergevtorino I suggest you look up the video where the US use an decommissioned aircraft carrier as a target. That thing don't sink easily, the water tight compartments make the ship near unsinkable.

@@olderchin1558 The reality is US does not posses the latest missiles of either Chinese or Russian origin; therefore, those tests are hypothesizing the unknown. Therefore, there is no need for me to see it. I am just being factual and objective. Even if the aircraft carrier is damaged it is a sitting duck near the shores of China. As I said earlier Carriers are symbols of superpowers of the days long gone...

What language do the Russians and Chinese use to communicate with each other during their joint operations? Obviously NATO uses English, the Warsaw Pact used Russian, and before the Sino Soviet split the language there was Russian too. What now?

Shouldn't it be traced back to Franklin Roosevelt, George Marshall and Harry Truman's days that allowed the growing of CCP and the ultimate ceased of China, rather than just dating back to Nixon's watch?

The USA is falling behind! We need to end welfare, stop school lunches, close public schools and public libraries. Increase our tax breaks to millionaires, subsidize more stadium and luxury condos, halt veterans benefits and in a blink of an eye will catch up and surpass the Chinese.
