While the song is beautiful, Clem overlooked a crucial aspect. there was no freedom in Rhodesia for non-white, and if this same white population had transitioned to democracy in the 1960s, they might have retained their country. However, Mugabe's rise to power led to their displacement. It's important to note that the Black population of Rhodesia wasn't inherently communist; rather, the communists armed them. Rhodesia's survival could have been possible if the white community hadn't suppressed moderate Black leaders in the 1950s, which fueled radicalism. As the saying goes You reap what you sow!

I called Russia more imperialist since it's a dictarorship and does that kinda thing more often than the US, but America is still imperialist.
